The food was very tasty and very affordable,we were very happy that we find it. We order the shrimp fajitas, they came with a side of refried beans, side of lettuce,3 different sauces, soup of the day , a drink, tortillas and some kind of dessert, all that for 70 pesos. Great deal, but at night i had to get up several times to use... More

Right next to the Church of Our Lady Guadalupe this small restaurant did not disappoint. I got a 3 course lunch for 70 pesos! The food was great, the staff are really nice and are keen to practise their English. If only I'd found this place earlier!

On a recent short visit to Puerto Vallarta, we had time to explore the city under the guidance of a "Walking Tour" guide, who had intimate knowledge of the restaurants and cafes in this holiday town. One we visited was El Campanario....a cute and compact cafe/restaurant owned and operated by a family. It is located across the road in the... More

We discovered El Campanario when walking by the beautiful cathedral. After passing it for years, we decided to try it. It was little warm inside, but they have numerous open door to the street and lots of ceiling fans. The kitchen is visible to the street where you can see numerous cooks preparing for the day. Mounds of fresh cheese... More

The worst tostada I've ever ordered. A big glop of cold mush on top of a tortilla. The food from the vendors on the malecon was far superior. The service at this place was extremely poor. They were just waiting for us to pay in order to clean the table. We'll never go back or ever recommend the place to... More

We stumbled upon El Campanario during an evening walk, and when we saw it full to capacity with locals, we knew we had to eat here. Our servers Eduardo and Nava found us a table and talked us through some choices. We enjoyed Flautas Pollo, (corn tortillas stuffed with chicken and cheese) Tamal Pierna (Tamales with meat) and Pozole Pierna... More

We were recommended this place by one of the staff at your hotel, after she overheard the concierge recommending a more expensive tourist favorite. The food was fast, delicious, and at locals prices. We had the Sopes, Flautas, and Enchiladas - all great. They were als nice enough to bring us a free sample of the Pizole soup. The waiting... More

This is one of those places when travelling I look for when I want to find out where the locals eat. The food was very fresh and great tasting. Be aware that timing is everything with this restaurant. It is very popular. It is across the street from the church and right by the school. For a classic Mexican meal... More

The only good thing about this place is that it's inexpensive. The food is ok. The portions are large if you are a big eater and can be good at times. I just found it meh.

After speaking to some locals they recommended this place. I'm so glad I stopped by, for roughly $3:50 or 70 pesos you get soup, main dish, drink and dessert. My wife and kids loved it, I spent 280 pesos for the four of us. I greatly recommend this place. Food is good and at a great price.

Thank Gaspar Z
