This taqueria has hands down the best gringas in Cuernavaca! For those of you that don't know, Gringas are a Taco of Pastor (seasoned beef) in a flour tortilla with cheese (and pineapple and coriander as optional). They go great with green sauce or red sauce and lime. Overall this is a good taqueria with cheap prices and fast food.

I love eating tacos. The advantage is that you can order just one and if you are still hungry, you can order another, which is brought to your table almost immediately. Lately, I have been ordering the Alhambre Pastor, which (if you are hungry) is an exception, and large dish.

Being a Mexican I can tell if you are a foreign you have to try this and if you are a Mexican and you don't like it consider changing your nationality. About the restaurant, very quick service, cheap and outstanding quality (especially the "salsas"). Don't expect

A variety of tacos with delicious salsas and all the toppings - lime, onions, cilantro, pineapple bits, radish slices. Great for lunch or late night snack.

Some of the best tacos you'll have is in this unassuming place. While the Al Pastor is definitely their mainstay, tacos de arrechera (marinated beef) takes the prize for me. It is over twice the price, but the tacos are so cheap, you're still only paying a couple of bucks U.S. Go ahead...spend those 2 dollars and splurge!

We were strolling around the north end of Cuernavaca and came across this place. We had done our TripAdvisor research, but still just stumbled onto it. Though it was mid-afternoon, we sat down for a few al pastor tacos. Delicious and just 75 cents. Went back with fellow tourists. Had the La Gringa taco, which is a mound of al... More

Al pastor is a dish developed in Central Mexico, likely as a result of the adoption of the shawarma spit-grilled meat brought by Lebanese immigrants to Mexico.Being derived from shawarma, it is also similar to the Turkish doner kebab and the Greek gyros. Whereas shawarma is usually lamb-based, gyros and tacos al pastor in Mexico are made from pork. Pork... More

visited on 2 trips this year. April 22 and 24th. The tacos are the best I have ever had. The service is friendly and quick. Been traveling to Cuernavaca since 1984 and just found this jewel. Thanks to friends who live in Cuernavaca. You may have to wait a minute or two for a table but it is well worth... More

La Gringa is my favorite late night restaurant after an evening of entertaining my visiting clients. It is the perfect ending to the evening. While it is often crowded at 2 or 3 a.m., the sound level is perfect for carrying on conversations with table mates. The food is fresh but fast, large servings and we always leave full and... More

I ate at La Gringa during a language immersion trip in April. My friend and I tried 5 different kinds of tacos and liked all of them. The different salsas are another great way to personalize your taco. I'll go back if I make it back to Cuernavaca. Don't let it's informal appearance fool you. It was safe and they... More
