This quirky and charismatic bar was one of the most memorable afternoons we experienced in Guanajuato and so glad we found it tucked away off the nearby square. Our inexpensive beers and tequila were complimented perfectly with offerings of delicious, healthy-sized snacks like carne con...More

I read a lot about this place and I couldn’t wait to visit. Since there was no menu, I ordered a glass of red wine - it wasn’t good so I asked for a beer instead. Then the bartender/waiter served jicama, white potatoes and a...More

We visited "the Blue Key" after reading reviews on TA and upon recommendation of our food tour guide. What a pleasant experience! We enjoyed cold beers accompanied by delightful, complimentary, small plates of food. In fact, our 2nd round was accompanied by chilequiles, soup, and...More

Authentic Mexican food served in 3 courses. You get what they have cooked for the day which was very good. You may not order separate items. Cool decor and very nice servers. It is worth the search! Located by a very nice plaza.

It's really hidden. We found about this place first on a video on YouTube, then we read about it. We happened to walk past it during our walking tour so we knew how to get back to it. If you use Google maps, it will...More

This small little restaurant is found in a small square and up a narrow passageway. It is cozy and atmospheric. Not open on Mondays, Lunch and Dinner only.

The legendary bar/restaurant was easy to find and great. Amazing colors, film and historic posters and art and an intimate vibe. At first I worried about my meager Spanish but it didn't matter. A michelada- beer and tomato juice got us started. And mescal poured...More

We really wanted to like this place, and the location and atmosphere are great, but otherwise we were very disappointed. They have no menu, so they are either extremely overpriced or discriminate against tourists and charge extra. We were charged 45 pesos each for a...More
