What an experience it was! The food was delicious and the service was attentive and courteous. We had the traditional chiles en nogada. There are many other places where we could have this meal but at Azul y Oro it's a gastronomic and cultural experience with a special table setting which included gold plated cutlery, a special Talavera ceramic plate.... I had an amazing tortilla soup at this restaurant near the MUAC at University, and was impressed by the quality of the salsas. Sadly the service was really slow on the terrasse!

We some years ago (maybe more than 5) this place used to be good, this one is by the CentroCultural area, so maybe for a coffee and a cake is enough; food is nor good and is overpriced for what it is, service is also slow but waitress try to be nice, they try al teast, for mi one man's... More

I have eaten at the Azul restaurants many times over the past years. Although the service is generally a bit snooty, but the food used to be excellent. Now, the ceviche de sierra was more guacamole than ceviche, the Mamey mousse cake did not taste like mamey at all (which means they didn't use much fruit to make it) and... More

Nice place to eat if you are on the UNAM campus. I particularly liked the mole and the tortilla soup. You can sit outside on the Campus Cultural. While the restaurant is at UNAM, it is owned by Carlos Slim, so if you are concerned that he is not rich enough, be sure to patronize the restaurant.

First impressions go a long way... Azul y Oro Histórico and Azul y Oro CCU (at the UNAM Cultural Center) are good restaurants. Azul y Oro Ingeniería (also within the university campus) not so much. Or maybe they are all getting worse, since their creator and founder, multi-awarded chef Ricardo Muñoz Zurita is not around to supervise quality. Don't trust... More

I remember going with all my universy friends here to enjoy good food by low prices. Student prices are gone but food is still good betyer than average.nice food for low price. Now the flavour is ok, but nothing special and the prices are "for working people". Chiles en Nogada are traditional prepared and the staff excellent. Nice place but... More

I don't know where to start sincerely. This place once was a good restaurant (20 years ago). I don't know what happened. Apparently it became a Mexican gastronomic specialty restaurant, however, the tidiness of the place literally "sucks". Napkins where the bread comes are tide, the bread isn't hot. The all ceiling and in general the tidiness is really bad.... More

An amazingly good restaurant in the Cultural Center of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Open mostly for lunch (although breakfast is available, call ahead), the depth of selection, execution, and presentation of traditional and regional Mexican food is outstanding. If there is a shortcoming, it is that they have (as of December 2014) no beer, and only a limited... More

Excellent Mexican Restaurant ... maybe the best campus restaurant I have ever been to at a University ever. The Mexican food is traditional with a flair! The quality and service are top notch and you cannot beat the scenery at CU!!!
