A nice place to grab a cocktail and have a bite to eat. We had the snails and ceviche, with both being delicious. Beautiful old bar and building making for an appealing setting. If looking for somewhere in the Centro Historico this would be the "goto" place!

After a long day of sight seeing we planned to finish at La Opera Bar. We had never been here and it was a delight. We asked to be seated at the bar as we just wanted drinks. Go just for the interiors. They are amazing. Drinks were fine, a little dish of beans and chips goes with.

Inspired by our visit to the Palace of Fine Arts, we decided to continue with buildings from the end of the 19th Century and had a great meal in this restaurant bar. We had to wait for about 15 min.for our table. The waiter was very nice and attentive and his recommendations were excellent. We had as a starter: pulpos... More

You will be stepping back several decades. I have been here lots of times, good food, good drinks. Some of the older ornery waiters have retired so please help break in the "kids". A small hole in the ceiling is said to come from Pancho Villa one roaring night. Lots of atmosphere, lots of interesting patrons. I can imagine what... More

We only had cocktails at the bar, but this restaurant was very worth visiting and I plan on going back for a meal on my next visit to Mexico City. The artitecture is beautiful and there is great history in this restaurant.

Lots of history in this old historic building. There is even a bullet hole in the ceiling from Poncho Villa.

Good cocktails ! Look out for Pancho Villa 's bullethole in the ceiling !! It looks like it has closed down as is shuttered up when not open. Great period decor and very handy for other attractions in the area. Restaurant looks good but didn't partake.

I had the snails in chipotle sauce as an appetizer and enchiladas as the main dish. The food was great but this restaurant is all about the Victorian decor and fun atmosphere.

This is a historic building with beautiful decorations all around. We stopped here mainly because of the history this place embraces but we will for sure comeback to taste the meals as they seemed good.

Great place to get a drink. Beautiful ornate interior. I thought the food was fine. Some unusual dishes. The service was ok. They had a number of wines on wine list. However, of 12 bottles of red, they were out of all but two. Of course the two they had were the most expensive. I didn't appreciate that. I would... More
