Bakeries are my favorite places to visit when traveling. It tells me a lot about the culture and food of an area. Pasteleria Ideal is the most amazing bakery I have ever been in. Two floors of deliciousness! They cake selections and demos are unbelievable...More

Tons of variety. Loved everything we purchased. Cakes displayed were stunning. However we didn’t purchase one, just looked. Buying is confusing. Make your choice and you get an invoice. Pay using the invoice then go pick up your goods that are now packaged up.

The cakes and tarts in this delightful bakery look too good to believe. If you want a smaller portion, they have that too. In addition, the empanada we purchased yesterday had delicious filling and the most delicate, flaky crust you could imagine. Great prices. Upstairs...More

If you're in a low-carb diet, this place could be a problem! The smell from the bread and the cakes and the cookies could send you into a crazed frenzy and you'll want to grab one of those trays and just eat everything in there!...More

This is the biggest bakery we have ever seen! It's 2 story. Lower floor for pastries, bread, cakes and cookies. If you have imagined a pastry, it's probably here! Service is very disorganized. You get in line for packaging and invoice, a line for payment...More

This place is unbelievable. They offered us free cake, which was pretty good, and it was packed. There are so many different types of cake, jelly, biscuits and pastries you can’t even look at them all. This is a must-visit.

It's a traditional spot in the City full of options for pastries and cookies. Do not expect the American style cookie. Mexican ones are drier and thinner. It's their way. Ate a very good guava pastry. Ask for it.

I entered this bakery by chance, walking around CDMX historical center. I lost my mind by looking at those marvellous cakes and inviting crossaints. I bought 4 big pieces for only 2 euro. The sponge muffins are amazing.

I don't know how many square feet but it's very large and two stories. Also there may be two locations -- Google maps shows a different location based on whether you search "ideal bakery" or "pasteleria ideal." We went to... More
