Food was prepared to perfection! The appetizers were delicious! The sauces, the robalo fish, the soups were light and exquisite. Great service and beautiful place with the music of violins,

This is a gem. Very traditional Mexican food, delicious and served very well. Welcoming atmosphere and great service. Unusual dishes. You may have to wait for a table but you can make a reservation. Open every day from 8-6, except Sunday 9-6. Try the shrimp and/or arrachara tacos. For breakfast, the poached eggs in broth with beans, cheese curd and... More

Tried a bunch of different appetizers, duck tacos, mole, chiles and desserts. This is a traditional Restaurant with overall good food and very good service. They have a breakfast menu until 1 pm then they switch to a lunch menu.

I'm not sure I'm reviewing the location we visited, which was in Centro Historico. A good steak was preceded by an excellent salad and followed by a delightful desert. Great people watching.

Very good Mexican food restaurant with an excellent service. The "Mole Poblano" was delicious! The only back side was the beef I ordered was a bit over cooked nontheless the rest of the dishes we ordered exceeded my expectations.

I have been to a couple of the El Cardenal restaurants and can tell you that the food Is wonderful! If you go to the Alameda location (inside de Hilton Reforma Hotel) you can burn off the calories by walking to all the museums in the neighborhood. It is a restaurant preferred by locals, with authentic food and great prices... More

Staying in San Angel

Neighbourhood Profile
San Angel
San Ángel is known for its artistic vibe and elegant details displayed throughout its streets, antique residences and haciendas where famous actors like Consuelo Velázquez, Capulina and other prominent families used to live and that have now been turned into beautiful galleries, cafés and restaurants. An array of cultural and artistic activities are organized in the neighborhood, but it is on Saturdays when the San Jacinto Plaza and surroundings really shine as artists gather to exhibit a variety of arts and crafts, from paintings to clothing.
