Top end Japanese food ... worth splurging if you have the money to spend! The sashimi platter was quite nice as was just about everything even the dessert.

Wanted to have a memorable experience and didn't get it. Food was ok, but nothing was exceptional and tempura shrimp was not great or delicate at all. Service was a bit pretentious and the wine list should definitely be improved.

The rice bowl this evening was quite good and the ambiance and customer excitement is above average. Be prepared for great prices and good service

I went to the sushi bar alone for a dinner. I arrived at 10:45pm and I was informed that the kitchen will close at 11:00pm. I order at 10:50pm. Somebody came to the sushi bar and sat down close to me and order his food at 11:00pm. We both order sushi 10 pieces. He was served at 11:10pm; I was... More

Whatever you do, order the yellowtail carpaccio! It was waiters' suggestion, and a very good one indeed. After all our other dishes plus dessert, that carpaccio was the absolute best.

I expected much more from this restaurant being a famous chef's restaurant. The sushi and sashimi were uneventful. There was no presentation and were very bland. The selection available was very limited.

Morimoto is an Iron Chef that has opened several restaurant around the world. Philadelphia was the first and it still is the best. This one is in the Camino Real hotel in Polanco and is not up to expectations. The restaurant has a smoking section (in 2016 !) that is separated from the non-smoking area by a glass partition with... More

Had an informal business dinner here with my boss. We asked the waitress to chose a selection of maki, rolls etc for us. The produce they are using is just fantastic, and the level of expertise that goes into preparing the dishes is similarly impressive. The premises are beautiful, making this as relevant spot for dates as well as business.... More

Went there twice and ordered Omakase (set menu) and a la carte. The a la carte food was much tastier than the Omakase. Ordered the wagyu Shabu Shabu since they have Japanese Wagyu for a limited period, and it was awesome. As for Omakase, if you ever had tried in Japan, then you would feel that the offers were just... The highest expression of Japanese cuisine, using ingredients with vibrant and exquisite presentation mulched by the famous Shoos Studio into the legendary Camino Real Polanco; Morimoto's design encompasses Mexico City lifestyle of the city in conjunction with the Japanese tradition. The main dome and a large window offer a perfect view of the sky. The wooden floor extends to the outside; the lamps represent elegance and fragility of Japanese ceramics. The furniture and walls of glass result in an atmosphere of comfort during the day and night.
