La Casa de Toño was one of the few places that got me to come back for a round two. The first night we went we couldn't get in because there was a line of people. The second night we got in and my significant other and I ordered. The portions were much larger than expected, the prices were very... More

Another local favorite restaurant without an empty table. Filled with Mexican families and dates. The service was fast. The food -- pozole, tacos, and quesadillas -- was hearty, fresh, and quality. The address with this location is wrong -- it's actually in Cuauhtémoc in a working class neighborhood. Amazingly inexpensive.

This is my second trip to Mexico City, and one of the things I was looking forward to having was Pozole from La Casa de Toño. My first trip 2years ago, our hotel in Zona Rosa was around the corner from the restaurant. We ate there 4 times, we loved it so much! I still look for that zing in... More

Had lunch with a Mexican friend that suggested this place. The Pozole and matching Quesadillas Chicharrón was quite filling for lunch. They have quite a generous servings that could be good for two person.

For the best pozole, sopes and tacos this is the place to go. They have very quick service, delicious food and unbeatable prices.

I had a quesadilla and a small bowl of pozole, and I was not disappointed. The food was inexpensive, but the line of people waiting to park and eat speak volumes.

Really liked the food here. Since the food was cheap, I ordered more than one dish, believing they were small size. I barely finished the food! Order only one dish, that is enough! There was an extremely hot sauce. I'm mexican and constantly eat very hot sauces, but the one in this restaurant is the hottest i ever tried. Normally... More

Unfortunately, I only managed to eat here one time and that was for lunch. The place was packed with locals so I knew the food and service would be good and it was. Just watching the servers work was worth the price of the lunch but maybe I'm just easily entertained. Even though the place was really crowded, service was... More
