Beautiful colonial architecture in a great location near the Zocalo and Bellas Artes; this store features all the regular amenities of the Sanborns brand but the restaurant is amongst the most popular section of the store. The restaurant serves the normal menu but tends to...More

Enjoyed first class service ( breakfast) by the staff & management with my cousin, his wife & my sister. I had the Sanborn's Special. It had 2 eggs, chiles poblanos, in a red sauce with cream & cheese. I also had their fresh pineapple/nopal juice,...More

Don't get thrown off because this is one of the Sanborns chain restaurants...it is the flagship! The colonial building is lined with "azulejos", decorative Talavera tiles. A sight for the eyes! Ask for the Enchiladas Suizas, one of their originals.

This is a chain and does disservice to Mexican food. Not worth the money - disappointing food. Someone said the inchiladas suizas was great - it was bland with chicken rolled up in tortillas and dumped in cheesy creamy sauce that seemed out of a...More

The food is nice enough and low cost, but it's the space that makes it a must see. Presidents have dined here and you can feel why. Ambience and art to take pics

Beautiful historic hacienda turned restaurant! A must see and explore its history, a true gem of old historic city center. Good food and plenty of choices. Service is good although very touristy.. I prefer just coffee and dessert in the cafeteria. The main dinning room...More

The food is not very good, but the place is undoubtedly beautiful, the architecture of the building is very nice.

Food is ok. The main attraction is the building. It is unique in the heart of Mexico City. They offer simple good dishes. Coffee is undrinkable. Service is fair. Worth a visit to appreciate the building decorated with hand painted mosaics

Sorry, but if you want to eat really nice meal, don't go to Sanborns. Actually I do not understand such a high rating of the Sanborn's restaurants in general. Maybe it is like that because most of the reviewers aren't Mexicans and haven't tried a...More

Ordered famous dishes "Enchiladas suizas", it's three taco dipped in Mexican sauce with bean, didn't like this that much! Had mixed fruit juice, which is great. After food, recommend to visit second floor where you can overlook the whole restaurant!
