Like in so many places, the tastiest food comes in the most inconspicuous packages and this place fits the bill. Just a basic local tavern with mind blowing flavours on your plate.

I went here for a special event mainly to have a drink or two but ended up eating here and getting to meet the owners. I have red wine by the glass and 2 seafood dishes with new friends and everything was excellent. Hope they continue to get good business and keep their prices fair.

Small, not much of an ambiance, a little bit cold- it was a chilly afternoon- , but good prices and excellent sea food, good service. From the outside the restaurant is kind of unassuming, especially compared to it's fancier neighbors, but the food's always good and the prices are reasonable for the neighborhood. Even though there seem to be a lot of offerings on the menu, the food isn't complicated. Just fresh and tasty. Sometimes the service is kind of brusque but other than that... More

I've been twice there twice and food is good, average price but drinks are a little bit expensive. Staff is kind and fast, I recommend to go for eating but be prepared expensive drinks.

La Ostra came highly recommended and we were slightly disappointed - not because of the food but because of the very loud house music. We couldn't hear each other talk even though we found a table away from the live dejay. The young condechi set seemed to be very happy though. The marisqueria style was simple and a blackboard menu... More

La Ostra is my favorite restaurant in Mexico City. The food is great (you can find that in many places in the Condesa neigorhood) What you can not find that easily is a place with the cool hip atmosphere that La Ostra provides. The music (electronic) was fantastic. I hope to go next time I visit Mexico. Luis
