An unplanned stop after the big Friday market at el Llano park. Can't wait to return. Traditional Oaxaca cuisine done with care. Lovely environment..
This is where the locals go. We sat in the back where there is a small patio/courtyard. The service was friendly and patient with our Spanglish. We did not hear any English being spoken and that was another plus. The food was very good, loved...More
We went to El Tipico more than once during both our spring and fall trips to Oaxaca. It's a wonderful local place near Llano Park with a different special every day (although they seem to have dishes with mole negro, mole amarillo, mole verde, and...More
Recommended by a former colleague, now local ex-pat, who we dragged along with us. True to his word, El Tipico provided very good food and excellent service. NOTE: they close at 6pm; so don't go sniffing around there at 8pm with your blood sugar down...More
