After reading the brilliant reviews we were very disappointed in this place. It is full of tourists and the menu is tailored for that. The food is eatable but nothing special. I am really not sure what all the fuss is about with this place. WE came for dinner, maybe lunch is better?

This place is a restaurant and also cultural centre linked to the Zapatistas movement. They have a wide choice of food, from Mexican classics to Italian pizza, all of high quality. Service was very friendly (we went twice) and quite efficient, given the number of tables they accommodate. And in the evening there is live music!

I went to TierrAdentro a few times during my recent stay in San Crisbol. It is centrally placed on the Real du Guadalupe and offers the usual Mexican options along with deliscious tasty salads. The house wine was also great and cost just a couple of dollars a glass(!) I was also there one evening when they had live music... More

The inside courtyard had a live music on a Monday night during the week before Christmas. Very nice ambiance and it was welcoming and we ordered a soup and a pizza, it took ages to come. I asked for a glass of water to take my medicines and it took 45 minutes for a glass of water but my green... More

We had pizza twice here. The service was great and the pizza was pretty good. The decor is pretty interesting and it seems like a popular place.

The service was good, food was also good but we were expecting more. We had a salad, a sandwich and salmon. The vegetables in the salad were nice and fresh, the sandwich was good except for the bread which was too dry. The salmon was dry but the mashed potatoes were really good. Juices also were good.

A cosy place full of Zapatista stuff and a great vibe. There are shops with local handcraft at accessible prices, I liked the fact this is part of a Zapatista collective so you can support their cause. Lots of vegetarian options. I strongly recommend this place!

Excellent, tasty Mexican food of many types, including authentic Chiapaneca food. This restaurant is run by Zapatistas and there are several tiendas around the eating area selling products from Zapatista villages. Free WiFi, very good music (both live and recorded,) nice ambiance. The NY Times says it has a fixed price meal for $30 --- WRONG!! You can eat well for $ 10 and nearly as well for $ 7.00 USD.
