This small bar on Real de Guadalupe may seem quaint but check out their HUGE selection of mezcals. Its all from the same 'Surreal' brand but they have mezcals from all over Mexico and you can try any of them / buy a bottle if you want. I tried the arroqueno, tobala, reposado, and a few others. I highly recommend... More

Great place for a drink and a snack in San Cristobal. The guys that work in La Surreal are really nice, the cocktails are great and the snacks are yummie. U should definitely try the homemade guacamole. I couldnt stop eating. Not to mention the vast collection of mezcals.

Enjoyed some fantastic, and unique, mezcal from around the country. Well priced, with floats a good option for experiencing a few different types. Tip: Get one of the tables outside on the street. There are often street performers which adds a lot of atmosphere.

My first visit to a real mezcaleria. Nice decor, a good deal on beer + mezcal shot, and a surprisingly good pasta dish made my evening. Nearly all of the mezcals are from the Puebla region, a few from Mich and Oax., all delicious.

The service was very effective and warm. The food options, though limited, offered tasty sandwiches to accompany the variety of drinks offered, such as mezcal and a mexican brews. The place had a lot of ambiance and offered a fun place to get some drinks at night.

If you like mescal or are just learning about it, stop by a try a few artisanal varieties of mescal or just drop by for a night cap.
