Small, characteristic place, tasty food and very good people serving it. Dishes are a combination of local delicacies mixes with some grilled beef in various forms and shapes (including mollejas too!)

I'm Mexican and lived in Veracruz most of my life, this place is one of my family's regulars, totally recommend it. Some of the best things to have are the Sabanita, Pozole and the House salad! It can get very busy and service sometimes is a bit slow but the food is worth the wait!

Had a steak here. I had the rib eye and it was ok. They do have mashed potatoes with meat and cheese which I haven't found anywhere else.

I think the food's quality is really good, i usually enjoy eating the sabanita and a chocolate milkshake. The real problem about it is that the service is so bad, even when it's empty. They really need to improve it so the restaurant would be perfect.

We were tipped off about El Maestro Asador by our phsiotherapist and it turned out wonderfully. the service was gracious and friendly and it was clear the owner and his family still worked there. He was charming. the food was excellent all around - with my wifes sabanita a tender, flavourful delight. I had cholupas and an excellent Consome Pollo.... More

Highly recommend the sabanita and the house salad. Great service, but food has been consistently good for many years now.

Overall great experience. Decent prices for great food. I've read some complaints about service but our waiters were really nice and friendly, definitely super busy so it may feel rushed to some. despite their hands full of plates they still stopped several times to ask if we needed something. Pros: Delicious food. Great value for your money. Cons: Place is... More

I eat here with all my family, frequently . Sundays. Good food flavor, mexican dishes, rather small place, but very tasty. Delicious.. Arrive no more than 2 pm.
