As a regular for different spanish restaurants in Mexico City and having lived in Spain for a number of years, I can aknowledge that El Llagar stands out for the quality of spanish food outside of Spain, rivalling the best in Mexico City and maybe surpassing them. Service is professional, the atmosphere is friendly and when possible, try eating in... More

Very good Spanish Seafood - good variety. The pulpo was excellent. We had 3 different preparations of the Merluza ( A la plancha, al ajillo y al mojo de ajo ) All excellent. Beware! Te same restaurant on the beach in Boca del rio was a disaster! ( We both got sick ) Lousy service, worse food, nice view.

Food is good, helps if you are aware with traditional Spanish - Asturian and Gaelician mainly- cuisine otherwise the waiter who attended us didn't make an effort to explain the others about food details. Maybe they had... More

Group of 6. Ordered wine. Waitress never returned to ask if we wanted more wine or to ask if the meal was all right or to ask if we wanted dessert. Food served to 3 people first. Five minutes later another 2 people were served. Waitress never brought my wife's order. "Forgot" to enter her order. When it came time... More

I went there on a recommendation b/c I was craving Spanish food. I was disappointed with the food. Large selection so I cannot speak for everything served on the menu but really not a place I will go back to ear again. No me gusto la comida. La verdad que para ser un restaurante español le falta sason. Tienen un... More

Went there during Easter week. This restaurant is located in the newest and trendy looking hotel named Punta Azul, facing Isla de Sacrificios, great view!. The restaurant is a branch of another one which is a couple of miles closer to downtown Veracruz. The menu has a nice array of Spanish appetizer and main dishes made well very well, not... More
