Staying downtown, I wanted to enjoy some fish meal in the local setup. Visited this place and loved it. It’s located right in the centre of mercado 28, it attracts different types of people from locals to tourists, they have a good array of seafood...meal..I went for the cocktail and big fried fish. Staff were attentive and nice, you can also get the food as take away. Make sure to ask for the guy “el gordito”, he’s a great guy and decided to name me pancho!!! :-)More

We stayed in hotel zone and wanted to try some local seafood restaurant in Cancun city. We drove for 20mins there and was not disappointed. The staff there friendly and helpful, the most important part are they did not give me the feeling that they...want me to spend more money and keep push me for expensive stuff. They provide good recommendations and attentive to our needs. Food are very delicious but lack of seafood variety in my view. They only have fish and shrimp which is a shame being a seafood restaurant. The restaurant dinning environment is nice and the restroom is surprisingly clean and airconed while the restaurant wasn't. If I will go back Cancun again, I will definitely go there again.More

Nice place to try a big variety of dishes based on seafood. We tried guacamole, 2 ceviches (small ones are really big in fact), a fish in mango sauce, empanadas and prawn curry. The bill in total was around 650pesos. Fast service and it’s nice...that they give you a free appetizer. It wasnt excellent - mango fish was nothing but just sweet and prawn curry also didnt have much flavour in it but in general it’s a good place to have some quality seafoodMore

Open air seating, so no air con, but really great food. The menu was huge and had many dishes I had not experienced before. You need to have a bit of spanish speaking skills as the staff is mostly spanish only speakers, but all were...very helpful and tried hard to be sure you understood what was going on. We had huge lobster tails and the price was the best we saw in the city. They were great and the rest of the food was also great. We enjoyed our selves, but the restaurant is surrounded by shops where you can get the high pressure treatment to buy, just be firm and keep walking if you do not want to purchase.More

Finally a safe and quiet place after being hounded to buy something! Great service, good menu and wonderful sightseeing.

El Cejas was recomended by our Canada Transfers driver if we wanted seafood "tipico" style. We are very glad we followed his advice - the service AND food were excellent !!
