My wife and I experienced a dinner of a lifetime here at Harry’s grill. Despite the COVID pandemic Harry’s grill staff went above an beyond expectation with extreme sanitation procedures To make our dining experience memorable. At the door we were politely greeted by inviting friendly smiles. Our table was cast outside in the moonlight overlooking the bay with a warm Cousy atmosphere, this view alone payed for the dinner. Our servers Rodolfo and Samuel went above and beyond making easy accommodations for us to transition into the dinning hall from the outside with zero hesitation. They showed Pride and professionalism in their role and made every moment count. The hard work of these men should not go unnoticed as they would rush to the table before I could even pick up the wine bottle, never before have I experienced customer service like this and do look forward to returning and having another unforgettable experience. If anyone reads this review be sure to request Rodolfo and Samuel as they will make your night unforgettable and one for the storybooks.

Angel David and angel were awesome. Angel David was very knowledgeable about the beef options. I was impressed that he actually recommended the cut of meat that was cheaper! The food was excellent. I can't say enough about the service.

Okay... the best in town, I think! Amazing service, brilliant food & fine wines. What a wonderful beef tenderloin, lovely Chardonnay and last course; creme brulee. You will get your aperitives prepared at the table! Lovely. Waiters/ Waitresses will show the all main cuts to you before ordering anything. How nice! Ofcourse they also recommend the most expensive one. Just pick your choise, this is not cheap anyway. Wine list and dessert will found from the tablet. Regular Menu will come with ”normal leather book”. When you open the menu, all the lights go on. Amazing, looking so fancy. I didn’t took any starter, others tried mini hamburgers. They really liked it. Main for all, beef tenderloin (210g), with different side dish (+$). I and my friend had a dessert, sorbet (die for😅) & creme brulee. Lovely combo. The bill came around + $400 for 4 adults. Three starters, four mains, two desserst, eight alcoholic drinks, two cokes, two-three waters... so not so bad, compared service. I can recommended this restaurant! Very expensive, but worth for every money. Never get this kind of service/ food from your Origin Country.

We visited Harry's for my cousin's 40th birthday as a party of 4 on Monday, December 30th. We have been to Harry's many times in the past as a group for my husbands company and were treated excellent. However, this time many things slipped through the cracks. The biggest was the expensive Cowboy steak for two ordered medium was overcooked. They did recook it but when they brought it back it was medium rare. As half our party had already completed the meal, we decided to eat it as is. There was no compensation for the problem. We thought when the waiter came back with some premium tequila it was a kind gesture but instead we were asked if we would like to purchase it. Also, samples of wine requested were never brought and the sides for an expensive steak house would hardly feed 2 people. If you are going to command high prices, I expect excellent food and service.

We had Harry’s come highly recommended by friends for my husbands 60th Birthday and can say we were totally excited by everything we had heard. Unfortunately we have to say we were totally disappointed 1/2 hour into our evening. It started off great, the waiters were attentive until we were left sitting for about an hour after appetizers waiting for our main course. I had to ask for water refills and by now this “fine dining” restaurant had now been taken over by multiple families with tons of small children that were tired, cranky and having temper tantrums along with the most annoying loud thumping driving techno base music that was giving us all a headache! Dinner was just ok. Caesar Salad was very bland, Beef Medallions were soaked in Gorgonzola and was cold. Very high prices for mediocre food. Very disappointed.

This is a sad review to write as Harry's has been one of my favorite restaurants for years. Went there last night and it was possibly the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. The service was so bad that not only did I leave without finishing my meal but the Manager comped the meals for my party of three and kept inviting us to return as his guests. The night started fine with our 7:30 reservation being honored. We were visited by the area captain who took our appetizer orders and the waiter who took our drink orders. The drinks arrived timely and the appetizers arrived shortly thereafter while the waiter was taking our main course orders. The night then went to hell after this. We found out that our quiet table was directly under a speaker blasting music which they could not lower. While this was annoying the real problem arose regarding service. Between the appetizers arriving by 7:50 we did not see either our waiter or the captain at our table until 9:00 when I asked the captain to see what happened to our dinner. The waiter then came to my table 10 minutes later to explain that the delay was my fault for ordering my steak well done. Somehow this explained over a one hour delay in cooking our KC steak and a filet mignon for two!!!!! I then asked for the manager. After waiting 10 minutes I then went to find the manger my self. He apologized and would look into it/ The steaks then arrived less then 10 minutes later with no Bernaise sauce as ordered, the wrong type of potatoe and no grilled vegetables as ordered. I went back to see the manager who returned to the table and advised that he would personally make the Bernaise and have it on the table in two minutes. When it did not appear I then asked the captain who suddenly remembered where our table was to check on it. When there was no response I then went to find the manager who then spoke with the chef and reported back that it would take 20 minutes to make and the chef said he wouldn't do it. If this wasn't enough the filet was not cooked as requested. At this point we gave up and left. In conclusion if you go to a steakhouse for the atmosphere and to be blasted by music Harry's is for you. If you go expecting good service, great food and steaks cooked to perfection I strongly suggest that you avoid Harry's at all costs!!!!

We have been going to Harry's every year we visit Cancun. Their beef is excellent. This year we were disappointed for the first time. We asked to sit in the room off the inside bar but the lighting was so dim we could hardly see our food. The music was too loud and had a steady drum beat that wasn't enjoyable. they did turn it down a little at our request. We had 3 waiters but I felt the service was impersonal. When we ordered desert, they left to wait on other tables and we waited a very long time for the desert. My husband got up twice to ask where our desert was and the cotton candy our granddaughter was waiting for. The desert finally came but not the cotton candy. Maybe Harry's just got too popular to care.

If you like overpriced low quality food in a night club with poor service and scamming extra money for tips....this is the place for you. We chose to do this as a romantic dinner on our week long trip to Cancun. The tables are so crammed together you are constantly being hit from behind from waitstaff. Our server treated us like second class citizens next to his table of 8. We saw him maybe a total of twice in 2 hours. We ordered one of the premium steaks cooked medium. The outside was so charred that when you cut it, the top layer would come off in one big piece of jerky and the inside was dark grey. We never had anyone walk by to even ask how it was. They were giving sparklers out to all the people standing up at their tables dancing, over and over so the entire room was filled with smoke not to mention all the tables squeezed right up next to you were change smoking cigarettes. At the very end the waiter came by with the bill asking very nice how much tip we would like to add after he has abandoned us the entire time. After I told him how much, he gave me the receipt to sign conveniently covering up the total amount, I pulled the receipt from him to see he almost doubled the tip I told him to add. I told him to redo it. He said it was a mistake and gave me pesos for the difference. We were charged over $10 just asking for regular water. That’s something they should mention. $300 later and a near asthma attack, I’ll stick with dominicks steakhouse where I live. Very disappointing. Would highly not recommend.

We went for a birthday celebration and even though we’re based in nyc, Harry’s ( our 2nd visit)exceeded our expectations . The servers Sergio and Miguel were attentive and helpful with advice. From the lighted menus, to the cotton candy huge display at bill time, to the largest steak selection cooked exactly how you order , Toby he perfect steak and great sides of creamy spinach, mushrooms and Brussels sprouts and with great wine from Chile, this was a fantastic experience, although a bit pricey even with a voluntary 10% discount on their part. We will definitely go back again

Harry's was a fantastic dinner and all around experience. Daniel F was our waiter and he was outstanding, I highly recommend being seated in his section if given the option. We were taken care of by a team of two: Daniel and his counter part Angelo and I have to say, between the two of them, this is some of the best service I have ever experienced in my life. This is coming from someone live in Dallas which is littered with high end restaurants and this blew anything out of the water I have experienced at home. In addition to the fantastic service from Daniel and Angelo, the setting and atmosphere was also top notch. We were set at a table directly on the water with amazing views of the sunset. Lastly, the food: the food was fantastic, by far my favorite meal in Cancun. That said, I am a steak snob so I will say the Black Onyx cuts were just okay for me. BUT the Kobe Beef was absolutely spectacular. Brought out and cooked on hot rock in front of us to our desire, it was undoubtedly the highlight of the meal and worth splurging for. All around, this meal was 5/5 stars and delivered on everything we could have wanted. We will definitely be back when in Cancun and will 100% be looking for my new friends Daniel & Angelo!

Our fist night in Cancun we met up with another couple here. The food is delicious and the service really makes you feel taken care of. On our last night here we decided to return, just the two of us. Again we were met with excellent care, with David and Sebastian as our servers. The quality is in the details. You could be cautious and keep your bill down to around $50-$100 per person, or you could try their most prized steaks and wines and you will certainly pay a premium. We tried a small portion of the Kobe filet and it was an experience in and of itself. We also highly recommend a bottle of Caymus. The deck is an amazing place to dine and the music sets a modern, upbeat and chill (yes, these can coexist) vibe for the restaurant. We look forward to returning.

I've been coming to Harry's for nearly 10 years, and I've even made a trip here for a weekend (I live in LA) as an excuse to eat a few meals here, it's that good. The meat and fish is unparalleled but they've recently introduced enough Vegan options to please that segment of the population too. Their desserts are seriously "Next Level"! The Banana Box and Harry's Ice Cream Pie are my personal favorites, but they have also added some new items like nitrogen-cooled ice cream made to order at your table, and a Chocolate Bomb which is a softball-sized shell of hard chocolate that is broken apart table side as a food server pours hot vanilla sauce over the dome...it's spectacular, and tasty too. Waiters have come and gone, but I always like seeing familiar faces. Jose Luis Javier waited on me twice on this last visit; he was always friendly and attentive and answered my questions regarding some of the new items on the menu. Since I was celebrating a birthday, he and the staff were courteous enough to bring me an extra dessert and make me feel nice on my special day. I will continue to come back to Harry's and recommend it to all the people I know who enjoy coming to Cancun (or who will be going for the first time).

My husband and I were visiting from Manhattan and were extremely impressed by the overall presentation, service and ambiance. Our waiter Raul was incredibly helpful from start to finish, and we particularly enjoyed seeing the meat cart and enjoying some complimentary cotton candy at the end of our meal. I was particularly impressed that we were not aggressively pushed to buy additional courses beyond what we ordered. Raul was very detailed in his descriptions and a great host for the entire evening!

1st, the food is very good, as it should be, considering it's $150 pp for one of the less expensive steaks, a side and a drink. The atmosphere is hectic and loud, and the place was packed. Our cab driver said that since night clubs have been closed, many restaurants have brought in live entertainment and loud music. Unfortunately, blasting Rick Astley's "never gonna give you up" at full volume does not enhance my dinner. But maybe this is what the spring break crowd perceives as a high class restaurant? They may simply be catering to a specific clientele-we were initially seated next to a table of 7 young men, all smoking cigars. It looked like they had fun. The biggest issue was that we waited 2 hours 15 mins for our dinner. (while listening to rick astley..) By the time the food arrived, we did not even want it. Our 7 year old had fallen asleep at the table. The whole thing was just painful.

We are from Chicago, so we tend to avoid ordering steaks when abroad. They usually disappoint. We enjoyed Harry's in Playa del Carmen last year, so we decided to try Harry's in Cancun, in part because it was practically right across the street from the Ritz-Carlton (which, by the way, has disappointing food). There are elements of this restaurant experience that make it worthwhile. The live music, the variety of different carts that make their way around the restaurant, the dazzlers given to diners celebrating a birthday or other special occasion, and so on. It certainly costs the diner, by Mexican standards, the most money the peso can buy for a dinner in Cancun. One should expect the highest of standards for such prices. That is why on this score (quality for price) this reviewer found the restaurant underwhelming and a disappointment. The bread, which is excellent, is strangely accompanied by a trio of guacamole and two salsas, so our table ordered chips. 10 minutes later, a small bowl of about 10 really stale chips arrived. Avoiding steak as mentioned at the top of this review, this reviewer ordered the rack of lamb, which was overcooked, underseasoned, and had too much of a lamb flavor, which indicates the lamb chops were not fresh. My wife's salmon arrived with a heavy crust of black char on top (leaving a bitter taste), and our guests' burgers were just OK (remember, we are from Chicago, where a good burger is too easy to find). Our friend ordered the lobster risotto, which he said was excellent. Despite one satisfied diner, for the money Harry's charges, this reviewer was disappointed. By Mexican standards, this restaurant should blow away the guests. If you are a frequent diner of fine restaurants, you may find this experience to be a disappointment. For what it's worth, this reviewer slightly prefers Porfirio's, which is right next door, but can easily see how reasonable minds can disagree as between Harry's and Porfirio's. I believe they are commonly owned.
