If u are in Cancun. Take a bus ride and eat here. Pass on all expensive touristy places and eat authentic.
Couldn't resist. Ate 3 times in 5 day trip. Amazing food. Fresh everything.
Best of all local pricing
At this restaurant you will find quick service, cheap prices for good Mexican food and friendly waiter service. The food is by no means the best Mexican food I’ve had, but was still quite tasty. We ordered three beers, Fajitas, A burrito and a quesadilla...(all vegetarian). The bill came to MX$486.More
The ONLY reason I chose this as a place to eat was the TripAdvisor rating.... guys are you SERIOUS?!?!? Did you not find the guys trying to wrangle in customers a little wrong, when all they did was point at you and stare? We were...the only non locals in the joint and ordinarily I wouldn't mind but the waiter made it seem like he didnt have even a basic understanding of SPANISH never MIND English. He made me repeat everything even though I asked for it in Spanish. I asked for guacamole, polle fajitas and a margarita - he didnt get it.... really dude? You can't translate MARGARITA???
The margaritas were gross, a strange yellow color, sour and lacking in the booze department, the pina colada was served with red flecks in it... gross. Honey had the tacos, which didnt come assembled and an order was supposed to contain four. Well he got three flour tortillas and little bits of overcooked chicken, no other toppings or sauces ( heres hoping it was chicken). He also ordered chorizo tacos but got shrimp Instead... which came assembled, fully dressed with avacado and salsa on top. We are finding that a lot here, they just serve you what they want, not actually what you order. The plate that it was served on was one of those tin camping plates, dirty and chipped. Gross
The tortilla chips were awful and served in a really dirty half broken white basket. Again, I must say ALL plates were chipped and dirty. I felt like was eating in a soup kitchen. My fajitas were sauteed with just onion and green pepper and came with a few teaspoons of cold rice a metallic tasting guacamole and refried beans which I would DARE eat. My tortillas came AFTER my meal, in you guessed it, a greasy dirty container.... I lost my appetite pretty quick though from the food and our lurking waiter. It's like he was afraid we would dine and dash or something.... strange.
When it was time for the bill, he showed it someone maybe his manager? A lady who seemed to get upset and caused a bit of a scene that now involved four employees all pointing at us and raising their voices... The one waiter who seemed to have almost PERFECT ENGLISH came to us and said our manager wants to offer you two free shots... maybe they needed us to be decoys or more foreign people? No, it was because the bill was so screwed up... instead of charging for the less expensive chorizo tacos that we ordered but didnt get, they charged for the more expensive shrimp tacos that they brought us. Which is cool but...
At this point I no longer cared, I just wanted to get the HELL OUTTA THERE.
I didn't WANT to use the bathroom on a fear that I might not make it back to my table or even what I'd find there. I'd rather pee in the alley next door where judging from the smell, hundreds have done before.
It was located down a little sketchy alley to boot in a non touristy area. But yes, I get it, sometimes the best local food can be found there... but trust me, its NOT here....
Please don't do it.. don't eat here. The whole experience from start to finish was a mixture of weird, scary and gross.More
As we walked down a side street on our way to El Parque de Las Palapas, we were greeted by a waiter named Jesus who recognized from a different restaurant we went to a couple of years ago. He invited us in and are we...ever glad we tried El Rinconcito de Puebla! The four of us shared an order of guacamole and the Molcajete Mixto. The Molcajete included shrimp, arrachera, chorizo, cheese, nopales, and onions in an unbelievably flavorful broth. It was served with hot corn tortillas. We all loved it and have plans to return in a few days.More
We stopped off here just for drinks and to take advantage of the 2x1 offer on beer. We actually stayed for a few hours and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. Alfredo was our waiter, he was very attentive and fun guy.
We did...have some nachos after a while to soak up the beer and they were absolutely delicious, I am sure the food would be up to the same standard.
Would highly recommend!More
