Always love the food and our favorite server, Pedro, remembers our drinks every time we go there. We always make reservations so we can watch the beautiful sunset. My favorite entree is Apricot Shrimp and my husband enjoys Coconut Shrimp. We stay in Cancun for...3 months and frequent Fish Fritanga at least once a week ever since it first opened. We tell all of our friends how good it is and often come with a group of 10. The complimentary chips & sauces add to the Mexican flair. Thank you for your excellent service and delicious food.More

Lovely location by the water, decent food, all completely ruined by ludicrously loud and inappropriate music. The noise made my head ache.I would much prefered listening to the sounds of the water in the lagoon.

I went there multiple times during my trip to Cancun because the food was amazing. My favorite margarita was the frozen passionfruit margarita. My favorite dishes were the tuna tostada and the shrimp tacos. These two dishes were absolutely amazing, we got them more than...once! As someone who has worked in a restaurant, I really appreciated how attentive the servers were. They were cleaning the table every chance they got and made sure we had enough to eat and drink. The servers were super friendly, Alejandro and Venus were amazing!More

My family and I were told by a friend that this place is a must on the our trip to Cancun. We were absolutely not disappointed. Upon walking up there is a bar located on the street that serves tacos and does not look like...much, but if you walk down the stairs you will find a hidden gem of a restaurant. When you get to the lower level you are waterside with your toes in the sand. It is pretty small but it wasnt really crowded at lunchtime. The food was delicious. Being from Texas we know good guacamole, but this would be some of the best i have ever had. The Nurse Shark Empanadas, Smoked Marlin Carpaccio, Fish Soup and Fish Tacos were wonderful. One of, if not the best meal we have had in Cancun. The Fish Soup was brought to our table complimentary and everyone loved it. The pricing was a bit high for a small place but personally i felt that you got what you paid for.More

The food has doubled in cost. The margaritas have no alcohol. The quality of the food and service was good. But on 2 occasions the manager tired to over charge my credit card by $1000 mxd.

The food is good, but the waiters are padding the bill. When you speak to the manager, he corrects the problem, but they are all in on it. Do the math!

We love this restaurant for the casual, festive vibe and beautiful setting. The food is good, not great, and best to stick with the basics (chicken fajita, shrimp, fish tacos). But the atmosphere makes up for it and the price is right.

I come to Cancun quite often and this is my go-to restaurant / bar every time but don’t want to share with everyone because I consider this place a true hidden gem and don’t want this place to be over crowded..lol! The food and atmosphere...is perfection and service is always great as well. Our server yesterday was Venuitiano (I believe that was his name) and he was so attentive and very nice and professional. His co-server was also very nice. I’ve been to this place several times and never had a bad experience! They serve my fav ceviche ever and all their seafood dishes are amazing! I’d so much rather go to this restaurant to have a few drinks and my fav ceviche and octopus tacos overlooking the sunset than a fancy hotel restaurant that has mediocre food and overpriced drinks! This is and will always be my favorite restaurant in Cancun and I will continue going here every time I’m in Cancun for work! Thank you Venuitiano for your outstanding service and hospitality! This is the best kept secret in Cancun. Sitting on the sand on the lagoon side w/ amazing service w/ every kind of fresh fish. There are fancier places to eat, but this has it all. Consistency. Atmosphere. Outstanding quality & value. They never used...to take reservations but now are on open table. We dined here 3 times on our recent Feb trip as a couple. Came here w/ our two young boys for winter break and last spring break. Make it a point to grab dinner here & compare it to the best in Cancun. The Ele Octopus is incredible and ask for Balam the manager. He will make you feel like you’re at home!More

My wife, myself and teen daughter did a short (2 minute) hike from the Westin to this restaurant. We had no reservations, but got seated within 30 minutes. Because the restaurant has a deal with our hotel we got free drinks (a mojito, a piña...colada, and a mango smoothie), all very well done. We ordered tostones, calamari, two types of tacos (governor, which is heavy but delicious, and fish), pasta for my daughter, plus Tumbada rice (similar to a paella). They were all very, very good. It was the best tostones I've had, and all the rest was all excellent. The ambiance was relaxed and the place is pretty (more in this below). Two mariachis sang a song for my girls for 200 pesos, but I'm sure they'd take dollars too. Our table was facing the marina, all very pretty. In the end we were very happy and left a 25% tip. It was way, way too much food, and on top of it we had two shots of tequila. Despite the clear excess, it costed us less money than eating bad chicken fingers and drinking diet pepsi at the Westin. As of February 19, 2023 (today) it was perfectly safe to walk this neighborhood (we asked before going), and the hike was nice, despite the idiotic drivers. Crossing the street was the only subpar experience today. Important: The restaurant is below avenue level. As you walk to it you'll see a taco "window" and some tables and might wonder if I lost my mind. Nope. To get to the restaurant you have to walk next to their taco window, down a short flight of stairs to the restaurant proper. It looks very nice by US and Western EU standards, just relaxed and completely local.More

Dinner by the lagoon under a canopy of palm trees very romantic and a great atmosphere. The service and food is impeccable I had the governor’s tacos and my wife had the salmon in lime sauce. This is our second year visiting this establishment and...will be a yearly tradition.More
