What an experience we had at The Surfin Burrito. We had the steak nachos and they were very good. It is definitely a place you need to stop by if you are in Cancun.

I am so sad to have to review this place negatively. It’s always been a MUST DO! We’ve been coming here since we found it in 2014. We always loved the vibe, music, drinks and food. We went last year and noticed the burritos were...not near as good but was hoping it was just an off visit. But we just went again a couple of days ago and left disappointed. This is a very small outdoor restaurant. Guy Fieri even did a visit there. But the burritos hardly have meat and are mostly beans. The drinks used to be served in a huge 1 liter styrofoam cup (with a very nice amount of alcohol) but now served in smaller mason jars. I always get the coco loco. It was good but just different. They were not near as crowded as they usually are. Hopefully they can turn it around. But not sure it will remain on our Must Do list any more.More

We had an awesome lunch here and are so full, we can hardly move. Great local joint with a few tables, great atmosphere and yummy food. Our fish burritos were huge. My mojito was yummy. There are a couple of outdoor tables with mixed group...seating. We had fun chatting with other travelers, eating, drinking, and listening to music.More

This place is not to be missed. The casual atmosphere and the loud music might not be for everyone, however, trust me, the food there is exceptional. There are many seafood options available, however, for picky eaters there are also burgers available which will blow...away your taste buds. The place is ideal for lunch or a drink and tapas. Be mindful though, the place is very small and popular, and 8-10 pm seems to be the busy time.More

This place has great reviews for a reason. The burritos are outstanding. It’s a little outdoor place with tables, no inside seating. Right next to a Circle K so it’s easy to find. The service was excellent and very friendly. They do have alcohol. Reasonably...priced. Excellent food.More

This was an excellent choice for breakfast! But you have to get there early, they get very busy and stay busy! I highly recommend giving them a try! Prices were reasonable and the food tasted amazing!

Damn delicious food. 😋 Nothing more to say. Tried lots of the menu. Everything was really tasty and delicious. And the place is really relaxed. Try it out and enjoy it. Special advice: Try the margarita 😉

Easily the best burrito I’ve ever had in my life!!! Not kidding, me and my wife both ordered a custom burrito with chilli fries side (really did not need any more than that) Also ice cold Sol beers to wash everything down with, can not...recommend this place enough, server was a dude!More

We came to surfin burrito previously on a trip to Cancun. So we came back again at lunch time for something different than the hotel. We ended up going twice. Food is really nice. You can create your own burrito with loads of different options....Also got a bucket of dos Equis. The staff are friendly and the food is great so can’t complain. Next time will go more than twice on my holiday.More

So we used to love this place and have been there many times over the years. Last year we had an issue with our bill. The server just told us an amount and he said it did not include the tip. We added up what...we ordered and realized it was $6 dollars over what the total should have been. We contacted the owner and he apologized and said the workers are not supposed to do that. So here we are a year later and we gave them another shot. Guess what this time the workers charged us over 8 dollars on top of the bill. We were not given a check again. I again asked the server if the tip was included and he said no. Ask for a bill and check your total if you leave a tip on top of the total you are probably tipping twice. We have been ripped off twice. Mind you our bill was not that much and this is not a full service place so an over 8 dollar tip is ridiculous. We always tip well and especially in Mexico. We will never go back.More

Average food and you would think it would be cheaper since this place is a hole in the wall. Think again. Nothing to write home about.
