One word: Amazing. The entire night was a treat for the senses, the atmosphere, the food, the great helpful friendly staff (Thank you Jose & Cocom!!) It really was the best of the week. We went there on a Tuesday, and that was a mistake...because every restaurant we went to after paled in comparison. OH THE FOOD! Coming from the Detroit area, we're all Greek food eaters and the menu did not disappoint. We enjoyed some appetizers (Spinach Pies, Lamb Skewers, Eggplant chips, Baked Octopus!) Dad got the Lamb Rack and shared a piece - oh melt in your mouth! My son who is a pretty finicky eater (what 10 year old isnt) devoured his half of the Organic chicken; which was again cooked perfectly. We had them make the table side Ice Cream - they sang Happy Birthday for my Daughter - ate some yummy Baklava crumbled over the ice cream... the kids got to break plates! whew! So fun. We will for sure be back next year (this time on a friday!) Thank you for the great evening!More

The restaurant is stunning. We had great service and the food was excellent. Julio Pat was particularly nice. Best restaurant that we’ve been to in Cancun. By a lot.

We walked into this place being wowed from the start. Beautiful ambience. I’m not a seafood eater, so my menu choices were very limited. I ordered the filet mignon, cooked to Medium. It was a little overdone and charred on the outside and very salty....I asked the waitress about it and asked her to check with someone on it, and she nodded her head and said OK, but nobody ever came to fix it. We had other minor issues with her - she was sweet as ever, but she was new and didn’t speak great English. I don’t think she understood me. Others at my table had the salmon - large size serving and very tasty they said. We found the ambience to be unique and beautiful. Great “plate breaking party” which was fun to watch, and although all the workers were wearing masks, no other guests were wearing masks as they were in line to throw their plates and later dance around the restaurant. During the Covid pandemic, if you have any concerns about catching the virus, you would have been guarded about this. There was a LOT of people watching available. This is definitely more than a restaurant - it is also a nightlife, party, meeting-up place for what appears to be locals. It added to the fun and didn’t at all distract from our enjoyment for dinner. In fact, it added to the fun. This place had been open for only 16 days, and you could tell they were working out the bugs. Interestingly, we found Ilios to be very unique - with the “Greek goddess” white dresses the hostesses wore, to the “show” they did and the sparklers they handed out. Until the next night when we went to Taboo just up Kukulcan Blvd. Taboo has been open over a year, and it felt interestingly familiar... Hostesses in Greek goddess white dresses, a show (which IMO was better than Ilios), sparklers. Looks like Ilios copied almost everything about Taboo. If you liked Ilios, you’ll also appreciate Taboo.More

Amazing restaurant, but sadly, we cannot return. The return taxi ride cost more than the dishes. Ilios and the other restaurant owners need to demand that Uber be allowed to work here. Taxi prices here are criminal. About the place, what can we say -...interior was gorgeous with an amazing sunset view. Everything we tried was mind blowing. The lamb kebabs; filet of sole, tuna tartar - all amazing. Watch that there is a difference between price of local fish and “Mediterranean” fish. They charge 1 pesos per gram for local fish; 1.5 pesos per gram for Mediterranean. They offer complementary tomato and olive oil that is delicious. This place had just opened the week before we came and they were still working out the kinks, but everything was top knotch. My opinion, the best seafood place ; way better than Rosa Negra or any of the other big fish places in the hotel strip. Go there if you can afford the taxi robbery.More
