We go to Cancun at least once a year and always go to Tacun, one of the best, authentic Mexican restaurants we've come across, with very reasonable prices. I took my daughters there during our girls trip, and it again, it did not disappoint. Two...of us got enchiladas and the other got sopes, all delicious! Drinks were great (one daughter said best Margarita she's had in Cancun), the waitstaff was helpful and attentive, overall it is just a really exceptional place! Warning: it is really a hole-in-the-wall (tiny with limited seating), doesn't take reservations, and is cash only, but really is worth it!! Give it a try, I doubt you'll be disappointed.More

Food was lovely and a great price but service was very frosty. Wasn’t sure if it was catered to more of a local crowd. The one server (the younger one) seemed a bit more friendlier and attentive in comparison to the older chap. They also...forgot one item we ordered but we just reordered it. Would recommended but don’t have any expectations for service level.More

Saw a review o TripAdvisor about it & turns out it is a resort & a half away. A cute street side restaurant that offers the food we’ve been craving. Hubs had Panucho, a traditional dish of the Yucatan area & I had a mixed...“Gringas”, a quesadilla made with pork & beef with a white flour tortilla. One of two amazing Mexican restaurants that we experienced here.More

This has been our "go to" restaurant when coming to Cancun for years. We've told everyone we met about Tacun and couldn't say enough good things about the food. But unfortunately that all changed for me last night. My husband ordered fish and I ordered...the beef enchiladas. The fish was delicious, but I've never had such disappointing enchiladas. I'm sure that the enchilada itself would have been great, but the sauce was so watery that the tortillas were soggy and mushy. It seriously looked like plain tomato sauce was poured over the enchiladas, and tasted like it too. I'm hoping that this was just a bad night, as I've never had a bad meal there before. I will try Tacum again in the future, and hopeful they will be back up to their standards. Wish I had taken pictures, but never thought of it until writing this review.More

We are staying at a resort nearby and wanted some authentic Mexican food. It’s well priced and food was great. The seating area is outside but covered so you might get a little hot but it was well worth it. I think if you’re staying...at a resort you should definitely venture out and try some of the smaller restaurants. Highly recommend coming here.More

For many years we have visited Tacun. It is a cash only business (pay in pesos) in a weird location across the street from a bunch of closed shops, but their tacos are served hot off the griddle and their drinks are served refrigerated or...cold. I got cold jamaica tea (pre-made, bottled and chilled). My other family members got freshly blended pineapple waters. I swear their best tacos are the rajas con crema, (grilled pepper strips with like a cream sauce), but their tacos al pastor are okay too. Tacun is one of the small shops that we enjoy and hope their business continues to do well (as so many other restaurants we have enjoyed, have closed due to the economic tragedy of COVID-19). Give them a try!More

This is a solid place to eat. It is cash only. I had the fish fajitas which I really liked. It is a small place and there is construction next door. I would go back if staying close by.

DO NOT EAT HERE! The food is bland and that wasn't the bad part of our experience. Our server gave us a bill for 535 pesos and tried to charge us $49 US apparently hoping we would just pay it without doing the math. There...was an exchange rate of 19/1 written on the board in the restaurant. There is also demolition happening next door and we left covered in dust.More
