The food was amazing!! We started with some chips and spicy salsas. My boyfriend and I both got tacos - he got chorizo and I got beef! Both were soo good! The food was so fresh and delicious and I wish I could eat it...for every meal! The one sauce was so good that I asked the owner to bottle some up so I could take it home. He put it in an old water bottle and I gave him $10 USD for it! WORTH IT! It might be hard to miss at first because it’s this tiny little building on the side of the road. It was only outdoor seating (that was covered) and cash only! It’s located in the hotel zone so if you can go it is definitely worth a visit!!!More

We were walking by and the owner greeted us. Like most we probably would’ve just walked by had he not spoke to us. What a mistake we would’ve made by just walking on by. We had dinner here tonight out of the blue. We ordered...2 shrimp tacos to share and chicken nachos, which arrived with various hot sauces. we complimented that with tequila shots and the most amazing strawberry margarita. This was the most authentic Mexican food we have ever tasted. Flavour packed and great size portions, in fact we had a little left over. Thank you sir for an outstanding meal and great memories.More

Best food we had in cancun and more important, authentic food! Food we ate in other places, even fancy ones, seemed tasteless in comparison with the food here! I highly recommend and I am hard to please. Thank you, Tacun!

I got the 5 taco plate and it was delightful. The chicken one wasn’t worth it but the cochinita and carne ones were wonderful. The sauce and topping offering was perfect. Guac delish.

Tacun is a small, street side restaurant in the hotel zone. It has the best enchiladas. I also got a tamarind margarita which is so good! I highly recommend Tacun.

Ok ok., I am embarrassed and ashamed that we have never tried this place before. We stay next door at NYX and the “eye test” of this place leaves most either walking by or choosing another dinner option. After years of visiting Cancun we decided...on something close to our hotel after walking all day and not wanting to venture far from our hotel. We visited on a Wednesday at 8 p.m. and two other tables had guests. The staff was friendly and recommended the “Parrillada” which was 380 pesos. The description on the menu was a little generic for non-Spanish speaking guests, although the waiter reassured us that the meal was plenty for two guests at the 380 peso price. For some reason the menus states “price per person” although the 380 peso price is for one meal split anyway/any guests. The meal arrived and we were overwhelmed. Probably 15 corn tortillas. Multiple salsas, and three meats and cactus with pico and avocado. I had the Cadillac margarita with one carina and the wife had the strawberry margarita which she stated was one of the best she has had. Please do yourself a favor and try this place. The place only accepts cash btw. Our total bill was 750 pesos or $42 American.More

A friend of mine recommended Tacun to us several years ago. We went and were not disappointed. The food is wonderful, the staff is very pleasant and answered all of our questions. The prices are very reasonable and the food is spectacular, to say the...least. Portions are very large, and we always leave with a to-go box, I don't know if it's really the portions or just the fact that we love everything there and over-order. Just beware that when they tell you that the green sauce is very hot they are not lying! I love the stuff, wonderful flavor and really brings the heat. We make sure we eat there at least once every time we go to Cancun. Can't be beaten.More

Been to Cancun many times; wanted to check out surfing burrito but after reading reviews decided on Tacun. I told everyone on my trip to visit Augustine there. He was so amazing, the drinks were the best I had all vacation as well as the...food. I just had to go eat there again instead of a fancy dinner on the beach. I would have ate there everyday if possible. The prices were spot on and I gladly left a generous tip because of the entire experience. The staff was so friendly. My kids were very happy with their waffles. I even got drinks to go since I was less than pleased with the quality at the hotel. You could tell these drinks were made with quality fresh ingredients and same goes for the food. I even ordered extra food to take on the plane and they helped me out with packing it up safely to get through security. I will definitely be back next time I’m there and keep recommending Tacun to people. If you see Augustine tell him chaparrita sent you 😉More

We decided to venture away from the resort and found a gem of a Mexican restaurant at Tucun. The food was fresh, drinks were great, and the staff was lovely. I would come back here if I visit Cancun again!

We go to Cancun at least once a year and always go to Tacun, one of the best, authentic Mexican restaurants we've come across, with very reasonable prices. I took my daughters there during our girls trip, and it again, it did not disappoint. Two...of us got enchiladas and the other got sopes, all delicious! Drinks were great (one daughter said best Margarita she's had in Cancun), the waitstaff was helpful and attentive, overall it is just a really exceptional place! Warning: it is really a hole-in-the-wall (tiny with limited seating), doesn't take reservations, and is cash only, but really is worth it!! Give it a try, I doubt you'll be disappointed.More

Food was lovely and a great price but service was very frosty. Wasn’t sure if it was catered to more of a local crowd. The one server (the younger one) seemed a bit more friendlier and attentive in comparison to the older chap. They also...forgot one item we ordered but we just reordered it. Would recommended but don’t have any expectations for service level.More

Saw a review o TripAdvisor about it & turns out it is a resort & a half away. A cute street side restaurant that offers the food we’ve been craving. Hubs had Panucho, a traditional dish of the Yucatan area & I had a mixed...“Gringas”, a quesadilla made with pork & beef with a white flour tortilla. One of two amazing Mexican restaurants that we experienced here.More
