This classy restaurant at the southern end of the Zona Hotelera was a wonderful experience! When we arrived, we were politely greeted and asked if we had a reservation. We did not. Lucky for us, there happened to be a table for two available that our host was willing to give us. We ordered a bottle of white Zinfandel. It was presented and poured professionally. We were given a complimentary bread selection with two tasty tomale-wrapped butter flavors. We both ordered the Surf and Turf entree. This plate was delicious!!! The Surf and Turf plate comes with a beautiful lobster tail and a juicy beef filet. It is served with wild mushroom and blue cheese sauce, mashed potatoes, and fresh cooked veggies. Though our meal was a bit pricy, it was well worth it! The food was incredible, the wine was perfect, and the staff was diligent and attentive. Unfortunately, I do not have any photos of our beautifully presented meal because the sun set just as we received our food and the mosquitos descended :( This is the only negative thing I have to say about eating at Navios. As soon as the sun sets, this over-water restaurant becomes a mosquito feeding ground. Though the staff does light torches to get rid of the mosquitos, if they don't do it before the sun falls below the horizon, the bugs will invade. All the guests were swatting and slapping at the bugs. The staff offered bug spray, but we didn't want to get bug spray in our food, so we ended up leaving. We took our meal to go and ate it back at our hotel. Though it wasn't as hot as it was when we were first given it, the food was still delicious. Overall, we would love to go back to Navios! We would just keep a few things in mind... Make a reservation! Go before sunset or bathe in bug spray! Give this place a try...I'd just suggest going before the sun sets though :)

Had excellent dinner in a “hut” for a party of 6. We went during a slow week in Cancun and the restaurant was almost empty for a 7:30 dinner reservation. Service was efficient and not as overbearing as some other places. The ambience is unusual, as the dining room is built over a lagoon. All had fish dishes, well prepared in Mexican styles. Prices were a bit less than other high end places. Not sure how it would be like when crowded, but we had a pleasant experience.

Located in Cancun’s Kukulcan’s Boulevard, over the bay, Navíos offers a unique and beautiful setting on the water. This is a Mexican-Fusion restaurant that aims to please true Mexican food lovers as well as an international crowd. It offers seafood, beef, salads and many more to accommodate different tastes and preferences. I ordered fish, a salad and dessert. My experience was good yet, it’s the restaurant’s location over the water, more than the food’s quality or flavor, that will leave a lasting impression.

Concierge highly recommend this place but the service was terrible. It started with not so welcoming by the manager at the front. No greetings but just acknowledgement of our reservation. Our waiter, Alex, recommended seafood platter that was not on the menu. It was okay, but not good for 2400+ pesos. It took over 20 minutes to get a melted butter, and by that time our food was getting cold. Our waiter came by once entire time to take a picture . And didn’t show up for 30 minutes after we finished the meal even though we asked other servers for the waiter but he never showed up. We walked up to counter to pay and asked for the manager. He just showed up and went looking for the waiter. Waiter finally showed up to give me the bill. No apologies from the waiter or the manager. It was like if you don’t come we don’t care since there will be others. If the place was super busy, then I would understand, but the place was half empty. They should provide attentive service to ALL patrons! This is the first time I am leaving a poor rating online to warn others. DO NOT go to this place!

After a great week, we decided to enjoy our last night out at Navios. To begin, it has a very unique atmosphere--over the sound side of the ocean on a series of piers. The drinks were creative and all made with fresh juice. Great selection of mescal too. We brought our two young children and Nanna; the restaurant was very accommodating even to the point of making a special ceviche for the kids. I will remember the marrow octopus dish for the rest of my life and yes, I did pick the marrow bones up and eat them like a dog. When the live saxophone began at sunset, it was official. Best. Dinner. Ever. Thank you and a special thank you to the wait staff. Our main waiter was Carlos, what a guy!, and he directed his team of waitstaff with subtlety and professionalism. It was a great evening. Thank you

Navios was highly recommended by the Concierge at our hotel to celebrate Valentine's Day. Our initial service experience was good. We had a delicious dinner but once it was served the waiters disappeared, mostly to take care of a large party nearby. We ordered Espresso's after dinner and had to ask twice to have them served. We waited 30 minutes after asking for the check which did not come so we went to the host station to request it before we left, which took an additional 20 minutes to appear. This seems like a good restaurant and I'm simply sharing our experience there. I hope you have a better overall experience than we had.

My husband and I ate here upon recommendation from our concierge at the Westin. Upon arrival, we were ushered to a palapa containing 4 tables situated over the lagoon. We were given a fabulous margarita for being a Westin guest. Truly this was the most delicious margarita I have ever tasted. My husband had the grouper (Guajillo style filet) and I had vegetarian pasta (Carlota’s Pasta). Both were delicious and expertly prepared. I recommend making reservations as this is a popular restaurant and you will have to wait if you walk up. The view is outstanding, the wait staff is efficient and gracious, the food excellent!

We went there for dinner at around 5, we didn’t have reservation but the restaurant was pretty empty at the time. The host told us we couldn’t sit anywhere on the edge but only inside because those are reserved. I said we are here early and will be done by 6:30, he was very adamant and insisted that we couldn’t get a table on the edge. So we settled on a table inside with blocked views when the rest of the restaurant was empty. By the time we finished dinner (around 6:15) only a few tables had customer and there were many empty tables available on the edge. We also had two kids (age 3 and 5) and I asked them if they had “kids menu” since it was not on their menu. We ordered “kids pasta” which came out to be a spoonful of spaghetti, literally just one little twirl of spaghetti without anything in it (not even salt) for 300 pesos. It was another 300 pesos for fish fingers which were scant and fished tasted “stincky”. The other items were okay but not memorable or spectacular. They didn’t give us any bread but only chips when I saw other tables had bread after we finished our dinner. Worst of all, while we were unsatisfied and discontent with the service and whole experience, they automatically added 18% gratuity on the bill without asking us (on top of the total bill plus taxes). We had only 3 adults and 2 kids. They didn’t do anything to accommodate us and only discriminated us and still forced a hefty gratuity on us, whether we wanted it or not. This place is a scam, definitely overrated.

For an early supper, we went to Navios (12-30-19). The restaurant sits off the road, down the hill, right on the water. Some of the restaurant is on land but most of the seating is over the water. It is set up so you have small piers so each pier is like your own oasis. We ordered Margaritas on the rocks to start and a bottle of Moscato wine with our meal. Every time a wait staff would pass us, they would top off our glass. The service was really amazing! I ordered the Popeye Fillet (steam cooked groper topped with shrimp, spinach bacon, cheese and cream). My daughter ordered the Navios Special Lobster (Caribbean lobster tail wrapped with tocinetta, caramelized onion and green grapes sauce, over a creamy rice with peppers and asparagus cooked on the grill). We both enjoyed our meals very much! NOTE: just after the sun set, and I mean the exact moment the sun set, the mosquitoes came out! We were both wearing sun dresses that came to our knees so we had no protection on our legs or arms. We were getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. So, wear long clothes or…make sure you finish your meal just as the sun is setting so you can enjoy the amazing sunset view on the water. We ended up getting our meal to go and we walked back to our condo and ate it on our veranda. They even let us bring our bottle of wine with us. A testimonial to how kind the entire staff was! I would definitely eat here again, just not after dark. MAYBE it is better on one of the longer piers that is away from the shoreline… Most Sincerely!

The location alone is worth a visit - the restaurant is situated on the water overlooking the bay. The food is excellent in terms of quality, presentation and price. We ordered the ceviche (so good!), Rosarito lobster tacos, salmon, and lime pie. But the reason why we gave it five stars was the service. When we first arrived there were no tables available outside on the water but the host Adam went out of his way to make one available (thanks so much Adam!). He even came by multiple times throughout the dinner to check on us. All the staff were incredibly nice and accommodating. If you want a fine dining experience without the pretentiousness or steep price, then come to this restaurant . We will definitely be coming back!

My son found this restaurant and I had some reservations because it was a little further out. There was nothing to fear this place is beautiful! It is over the water and the tables are set in private bungalows. The lights, music and serenity are perfect for a romantic or quiet dinner with family. I had the surf and turf and the steak was cooked exactly the way I like it medium rare. It was tender and flavorful and there wasn't a need for a knife or sauce. The lobster was grilled perfectly and was also tender. Our waiter Carlos was friendly and attentive and polite. Don't be afraid of Covid to come out and enjoy this place. They are taking the pandemic very seriously here. You have to wash your hands, disinfect your shoes and have your temperature taken before you can pass the host stand. The utensils are sealed in a bag and you get new ones after the rolls and appetizer. Carlos had a face mask and shield and was disinfecting his hands constantly. The price was ery reasonable as well. My family thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will probably go back before we leave.

Surprisingly excellent. This is a little out of the way and we would not have even noticed had we not walked by it by accident. We were treated with a complimentary Tamarind Margarita, which was delicious and distinctive. We were a party of 8, all ordered different things and they came out of the kitchen in a timely manner all at once. Get the coconut shrimp. Excellent presentation served on a cracked shell, and very tasty.

This restaurant would rival fine dining in the states with a fine dining price tag to go with it. We had scallops for an appetizer, pear salad, and grilled fish. It was good. The true winner, however, is the ambiance. The weather was perfect and so was the sunset. I recommend for a special night out.

We (a party of 6) enjoyed an excellent seafood dinner, including a seafood mixed grill, salmon pasta and the surprisingly good "Navios rice." We began with a nice carpaccio, tacos, and a couple of salads, all tasty and beautifully prepared. Beautiful setting overlooking the lagoon. Not loud, making it pleasant and easy for good conversation. Lighting was comfortable and every table has a view of the water. Our waiter Carlos provided very polite and attentive service, and gave good advice about the dishes, helping us make the right choices. We appreciate his good service!

Went to Navios and had the best dinner. The sea duo was incredible and the tuna tartare was so fresh and rich. Adam was great at explaining the menu and recommended the most perfect dishes and tamarind margaritas. Live saxophonist made the dinner even better. Check out this place if you want great service and even better seafood.
