Walking by one of our favourite tourist shops, late morning looking for breakfast. What a treat to learn that upstairs is open air where Nicole (our waitress) brought us the most delicious breakfast of Bacon & Eggs, Gallo Pinto, Refried Beans, Toast, and Rice. Two of us had a delicious breakfast for $15 including a nice tip. Delightful experience. We'll be back again soon.

Aurora greeted us immediately with a smile and showed us many things on the menu we may like she definitely got us to come sit and eat. I ordered the “Catch of the day” and asked for the head on my spouse ordered the seafood fettuccine. We both enjoyed our meal he said his was decent but we both loved my meal which our server Amanda mentioned to us that it serves two and she was telling truth the fish was huge had plenty of meat to fill both of our bellies. I asked for extra rice instead of tortillas. The veggies they served was sooooo good and flavorful! Music and atmosphere was great. Our waitress Amanda was awesome, very knowledgeable about items on the menu and gave good recommendations, we finished off our meal with the 3 milk cake which was DELICIOUS! Definitely would recommend and come again.

Many restaurants in the hotel zone are over-priced (more expensive than back home).
Since we stayed at an All Inclusive hotell, the threshold for eating out was also quite high.
Yet, our hotel doesn't offer a specifically Mexican restaurant, so that was what we were looking for.
Marinero's had a really nice balance of location, food quality and pricing. They had nice staff, some live music (off and on) and played local music in the speakers, in between the bands playing sessions.
We were here on a Thursday, so it wasn't empty, but not too busy either.
Starter:
We shared some totopos (what non-Mexicans call "nachos") and some salsas as a starter.
For mains:
My fiance went for the chicken fajitas and a strawberry mojito. I took the "Marinero's Taco party" (a variety of seafood) and a Jamaica (hibiscus flower juice).
My "Taco Party" could have been enough for us both, if I wouldn't have been as hungry as I was (and it was all good). So, I downed it all.
Dessert:
The desserts are decently sized and modestly priced! Still, since my partner said she couldn't have one by herself, we decided to share a flan between the two of us.
Nothing to complain about, and even though we Europeans aren't as accustomed to tipping as the North American culture (and we know tax is included, just like back home), I might have overdone it with my +23%.
We were just so happy!
(P.s. there was no pushing for tips, just a friendly info that tips are not automatically included in the price)

Debacle from the start. Drinks took 10 minutes. I had to flag down our waiter to order another. We ordered fish tacos, French Fries and the taco party. The food was OK but final when our meals came out it took 30 minutes to bring my Mom’s fries out after our meal! We told the hostess Aurora we has a coupon because we ate at Mextreme the night before and it was excellent and decide to come to Marinreo’s because it’s the same owner as Mexetreme, they forgot the coupon and we had to wait another 10 minutes for the check to be corrected. Also the table of 12 beside us got meals with fries while we are still waiting for our fries.

Marineros is by far the greatest seafood I’ve tried. Food is beyond exquisite with the flavors lingering in your mouth the whole time. Victoria is great with service recommending the best food and drinks. I was beyond surprise with the service due to the fact that I live in Los Angeles and never had any service/food like this. Victoria is the best server you can ask for, she made us feel like we were at home, definitely recommend!

My family and I are vegetarians and it’s hard finding vegetarian options but this restaurant was very accommodating for us! Raul was our waiter and he customized the menu to suit our vegetarian needs! My dad usually is very picky with his food and he absolutely loved his custom quesadilla. Raul was very attentive and patient. He made sure we had a good meal. The food was delicious as well and very cheap compared to other restaurants in the area. Would highly recommend!!

This place was amazing i had the mango daikiri ( be careful) it was really strong and the shrimp civeche (the shrimp is fresh), Pedro Chable made sure i was taken cared of. There’s a parking spot and smoking area aswell. Ill definitely go back

Well trained staff, great food and ambiance. Local live music, reasonable price and excellent wait ataff, highly rx for couples or families ot anyone look ing for a great meal in a fun filled atmosphere. Viva Marineros!

If its your 1st day in Cancun and you haven't tried anywhere else, you'd live with the food here. It's dry, bland, overcooked, missing food from what you ordered on the menu. But you'd be happy with your holiday and not noticed that they have conned you. The waitress spoke perfect English until I asked her where are the other half of my orders that are supposed be on the menu, she walked off straight away pretending she doesn't understand me. The rice was dry and tiny portion, with 4 bites of boiled vegetable on top. The manager told me that's what you get for 2 people! Later they came over and told us the kitchen is running out of mussels so they have gave us "extra fish". We were told the kitchen would make more food to make it up for the mistake, and guess what? The chef came over with TWO burnt tiny mussels! The bill came with full price, for half of the food is missing on our plate. They even put a happy face on the review page on behalf of us. Don't waste your money there, you'd get so much better food cross to the other side of the street, with half of the price. This restaurant is conned artist targeting tourist. The cocktail taste terrible too!

Service from Daniel beyond excellent, he added his perosnal touch and even had the DJ play music from my home country . Catered the food to my allergies and served us a delicious plentiful meal
Entertainment by Majo & staff ( had us dancing around the tables some merengue conga lines happy times sombreros and all
Food AMAZING authentic and well priced . Portions are huge
Price excellent for the quality of food & value and friendly atmosphere

Love the recommendations given by our waitress Victoria, she was very sweet as well, she went over the menu to explain what tastes the best. Both our drinks and food tasted extremely delicious and Victoria was very friendly to take our pictures with the Mexican hat. I would recommend this restaurant and would give it 5 on 5. Ask for Victoria if you want some excellent service.

My amigo and I caught several Mahi Mahi or Dorado’s and kept one filet. Our hotel recommended Marinero’s as a place that would cook our fish and serve it. We asked for a filet grilled and battered fish tacos, they brought us two filets, six tacos and two generous portions of ceviche. All three were they best I’ve ever had. They did the filets in a garlic butter sauce with the skin on- everything was wonderful. The fish tacos had a sweet coleslaw also the best I’ve ever had. And a Mahi ceviche had pineapple in it and was also the best I’ve had. I’ve had fish that I caught so hours old thousands of times in Mexico, Hawaii and California and they did an excellent job. Our compliments to Raul our server, the manager and Miguel the chef. Amazing

My server RaĂşl provided very good service and was a lot of fun to have as a server to hear about his life. The overall restaurant has very good food, personally I had the garlic octopus and it was everything I wanted it to be and more. The experience of having guacamole and margaritas made in front of you was also quite the experience. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting CancĂşn.

This was a great place for lunch and margaritas after visiting the nearby flea market. Our server, Raul, was fantastic! His customer service was not only good but he was knowledgeable about the menu and how to help recommend items with food sensitivity and allergies. The guacamole and Cadillac margarita was also good! Great place!

I came to Cancun on my anniversary trip and Marineros was my favorite restaurant that we visited. Their customer service was astounding. The food and drinks came out in a timely manner without any errors. The staff was friendly and welcoming, we had the pleasure of being assured by Oscar and Caraliano. I will come back on my next trip to Cancun.
