Lorenzillos is a long-standing restaurant nestled on the back bay of Cancun. It is a more comfortable restaurant than the “group” restaurants which we wanted that qnight. We watched the sun gently go down as we had a couple beverages and dinner. Our meal was...very simple, table side- prepared Caesar salad and a large grilled lobster that we shared. The chef prepared each side of the lobster differently; one side as lobster thermidor and the other with olive oil and peppers. Simple and delicious!!! I will start with the positives being all the front of house staff from the reception desk, bar tenders and waiters were all very friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and is attractive especially after dark. As regards the food to start...I tried the Cajun flavoured calamari which had little flavour and was over cooked therefore very chewy. Hence I left over half the dish but the waiter still did not ask if I enjoyed my course or was there an issue. My partner had the lobster tail as her main course and unfortunately once again was over cooked which spoilt the dish. I tried the stuffed fish which for a change was actually not over cooked and was moist with good flavour and can recommend as a dish. So one good dish was had out of three served will a bill with approx. prices as follows: Calamari Starter 700 MXP (£35) Stuffed fish 950 MXP (£48) Lobster Tail 1750 MXP (£87) Bottle of wine 1250 MXP (£63) US Zinfandel which was very pleasant Service 750 MXP (£38) Total: 5500 MXP (£275) In summary I am OK to pay top prices for a meal that hits the heights but this was some distance off and won’t be visiting again.More

Esdra and Carlos were amazing! They were very attentive and very kind. I was dining alone and they set a lovely little fish on my table to keep me company. The service was great and the food was tasty. Will definitely come back.

They were very accommodating and made my birthday so special! The food is always so tasty and beautiful views. Victor Javier was an excellent server.

The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! By far the best tasting food from the opening bread assortment all the way down to the plentiful dessert options. I must say that you pay for the quality of the food, though. For 5 people, 3ish course meals, and...3 bottles of wine, the total came to about 10,000 pesos. The scenery and staff were equally amazing. Our waiters, Telesforo and Esdras, were very kind and accommodating to us and some of our gluten allergies in the group. They would check with the chefs and ensure prospective dishes were suitable for the individual’s diet in a timely manner. The staff was full of smiles, laughs, and top tier service. You certainly get what you paid for, and if I ever come back to Cancun, I hope to come back to this trip highlight!More

Great family dinner, we celebrated my husbands and daughters bday! Alberto was so helpful with menu choices and everything was above and beyond our expectations! We would definitely come back, it’s a Cancun classic and a must!!!

I am happy for the experience. The Caesar salad was good. We sat near the lagoon which was nice. The price is more than I expected but the location and service is amazing.

My family and I visited Lorenzillos while on our trip to Cancun. We made a reservation in advance but it really wasnt super busy. We asked to be sat outside since the it was such a beautiful night. We were sat on the rail by...the water, which was really neat because we could see the fish swimming below. My daughter decided to splurge and pick a lobster from the tank. She got a medium sized lobster cajun style and i believe it was about 2.5lbs. I ordered 3 pepper lobster and my wife got the surf and turf special of lobster and filet. All of the food was fantastic. I should have shared my daughters lobster since it was so large! She did absolutely love it though. The drinks we ordered were not great and a little overpriced for how weak they were. I would stick to wine or water at this restaurant. It was a great experience because of the impeccable service we received. True to Cancun nothing was rushed and it took a while between appetizers to the meal to the dessert, but with beautiful weather and a great view, why rush it anyway. They had a valet right out front to get you a taxi when you left which was super convenient. When it was all said and done this was not my favorite meal in Cancun and i would not prioritize it becuase it was a bit pricey, but over all it is a great experience and if you have any extra night and want to spend some pesos check it out.More

The food is incredible! Just amazing! The wait staff was experienced and so polite and attentive. We sat outside and saw TWO HUGE CROCODILES!!! It made my whole night. On top of the amazing food and the giant crocs, a photographer took the best picture...of us! We did buy the photo to bring home in a pretty frame. Honestly this place is so great, I highly recommend!!More
