This restaurant is in downtown Cancun in a humble neighborhood. We went here because a local said that the food was the same as the restaurant Laban; but way cheaper. Actually is very cheap; but the place looks cheap too, the menu is basic and...the food is basic too. I guess this is where locals eat, not where they want to eat.More
If you are craving authentic Yucatecan food at a good price this it the place to go. This is a small not fancy restaurant in the middle of a Cancun neighborhood, most likely were locals eat, but trust me it is well worth the visit....We were there for breakfast and everything was very good so I imaging the dinner menu is as well. Trust me leave the expensive hotel zone and go to this place you will not regret it.More
If you like authentic Yucatecan cuisine and ambience, there is nothing better in Cancún than the traditional and renowned El Pocito. I have been a customer for about 20 years and I’ve never been disappointed. So happy to see the TripAdvisor accolade on the wall....We were so hungry we forgot to take shots of the other plates we shared.More
This is by far the best food in town! Service is outstanding too.
And, by the way, you don't have to ride a cab to get there. From the Hotel Zone take a R-1 (Ruta Uno) bus towards downtown Cancun; get off at Avenida Tulum...and Lopez Portillo, and then walk 5-6 blocks towards Avenida Uxmal.More
We made the trek from the Westin to El Pocito, absolutely no regrets! Our cab ride there and back cost more than our dinner. Two of us ate for $13 and it was more than enough food! The cab ride was $15 each way. It’s...authentic food cooked in a home style setting. Service was very good, although they don’t speak English but that makes for an adventure. Would def recommend and go back!More
The real deal! If you want to experience genuine Yucatecan cooking, El Pocito is the best in Cancun. I've been going there for 30 years and always enjoyed the al carte menus for lunch and the added antiijos for dinner. Of special interest are the...tamales and Cochnita Pibil. Very clean, cheap, and sanitary, take a cab from the first bus stop in centro(40 pesos).More
