My daughter suggested this after a visit a year ago. It is not on a main street, and a bit off the beaten track, but worth the find. It was down to earth basic food that was just perfect. Not to make it seem less than it was, but they have fresh fish and seafood, simple food, and they do... More

My friends and I visited this little 6-8 table restaurant after seeing it on our ChickMap and hearing about it from other people. It is owned and run by a man and his wife - he cooks and she waits tables. Our favorites were the Shrimp Ceviche, Garlic Octopus and the Sopa de Lima.

We stopped in about 2 in the afternoon for a little snack. The queso fundido with chorizo is fantastic. We got chips, the queso and tortillas with three different salsas and had plenty for the two of us. This little out-of-the-way place at the south end of the colonias is one we never want to miss. We always make a... More

Shrimp was okay, for some reason the shrimp in my shrimp tacos was very overcooked and the shrimp in the ceviche was also very tough. The pork and the fish tacos were great. Location is very authentic. Service was extremely friendly!

We went here for dinner our first night on the island. It is a tiny little place run by a wonderful and hard working couple. It's not fancy and if you go with a large group, please know that your dishes may not come out simultaneously as they have a very small kitchen, but OH, MY the deliciousness that comes... More

If you didn't get a local recommendation to La Bruja, you'd never find it. This little hole in the wall is fantastic. If you like ceviché, they have it. Get the mixto and bring your appetite. Hand made tortillas, perfectly spiced chicken tacos and great margaritas. Prices are ridiculously cheap. Very good!

This is our second time to Isla Mujeres. The first time on the island we ate at La Bruja every day for lunch after our first visit. We are on the island now and we have eaten there two out of three days and will probably eat lunch there today. Roberto and Maria are awesome hosts and the food is... More

What a delight to eat here. The restaurant is owned & operated by a husband & wife. Throughout the evening we got to know the personable side of the owners. They have been married for 45 years. Mojitos were excellent. Seafood combination plate was devoured by our teenagers. Guacamole was incredible. We had a group of 8 adults & 4... More

We arrived on Isla Mujeres on a Saturday and our group of 13, including 7 children, entered this tiny restaurant with no expectations. The owners, Roberto and Mary, welcomed us, gathered plastic lawn chairs around tables and took orders from the kids first. The menu had some English descriptions. The marinated steak fajitas, ceviche and the enchiladas were wonderful. Our... More
