Have a real cantina experience. Most are located back through a dark alley but this is open with a great porch. Loud music and lots of beer.

I went in Feb 29th to take pictures because we were told it was closing March 1st. I have Hemingway relatives so I wanted pictures for my mom. Nice art work but I never ate or drank there. It's been there a while.

Was told by locals that it was a good, cheap place for beer. Made the mistake of not asking how much beers were. Waitress was very friendly and brought me and my wife 5 beers each over a 3 hour time frame. Cheap beers on the island are 20 to 25 pesos each. Our bill, 1100.00 pesos. That's 110.00 pesos... More

I am assuming by my search that this place is also Oscar's Grill. We had the best pizza here. We ordered 2 pizza's for the 4 of us and when they brought it out we were all a bit embarrassed that we over ordered as one pizza was so large it would of easily fed 6. The Sicillian had a... More

The beers are too cheap, the music too Mexican and the food too spicy, so better if you don't go, especially not if you are one of those people who leave a $5 tip for a $1 beer. Go to the tourist places where they will happily rip you off without you even realising it and leave this place to... More

When you order drinks, they will bring a lot of free hors d'oeuvres, such as pieces of chicken, fried fish, some mystery ground meat, pico de gallo, pieces of grilled corn on the cob with spices etc. etc. There is so much of it so it functions as a light meal. I did not really like their Margaritas, they were... More

The locals call it La Tablita. If you ask a local where Hemingway's is, you will never find this place. Second, this is a Mexican cantina, which only tolerates Gringos, please do not try to make it a Gringo bar. Walk in and order a local beer, ask politely for some botanos (snacks) and they will appear with your 22... More
