If Yelp had 10 stars I would rate los trompos 10 * for breakfast. Their fruit platter alone is enough for 2 ppl and nicely presented. We made.the mistake of ordering additional food like the combo French toast and the combo croissant. But finished them anyway since they were quite good. We wish we found this place sooner as we... Got a selection of tacos and was a very good discover after a previous dinner at la Chaya maya. Food is tasty and served fast.

We went for dinner on a Sunday night during MeridaFest. They had Calle 60 blocked off and the restaurants all had seating out in the street. It was nice as the temperature has been over 30 degrees each day. Los Trompos is a chain restaurant but the food doesn't taste like it. There was a tremendous selection of regional dishes.... More

The place is just round the corner of Merida Cathedral. It's a place where to grab something quick to eat, nothing very fancy but food is good (especially chicken faijtas), fairly priced and service is ok. All in all a good bargain.

Good, traditional food. Locals eat here. Tacos el pastor was delicious; the el carbon was ok, Pollo w cheese was very tasty. Generous portions. Good find near the square. The AC was barely felt, even with the over head fans running, and it was HOT outside. Not sure if it is an AC problem or what. Overall, this place is... More

The menu was decently varied, the portions generous, and the service very good. I had a pork belly torta and the wife had a ke-burro. Both were excellent and a welcome find after a somewhat underwhelming first night's dinner at La Chaya Maya the night before.

We stopped in here just to cool off, have a quick drink and use the bathroom (which was upstairs). The fruit drinks were good and inexpensive. The menu looked like it had a lot of choices. I will try this restaurant again next visit
