Stopped here for lunch after the Symphony on Sunday.Reservations are necessary at that time since hungry people are descending on the restaurants surrounding Teatro Peon Contreras. Between us we tested the Caesar salad, penne with pollo and funghi, spaghetti al pesto, spaghetti alla scoglio and pesce al limone. Each dish was carefully composed with a balanced authentic Italian flavor. We've... More

Service was reasonable, cafe average and the croissants not freshly baked, sitting area could be better!

Due to construction this place is not easy to find, but you must find it. There is no construction during their dinner hours and the place is perfectly lovely with a small patio with lots of plants and an indoor air-conditioned room. Let me say that the owners are wonderful people. Service is exceptional and the drinks delicious. Great margaritas... More

This is a perfect spot for pre or post concert meals with all the best Italian specialities.. If you linger outside after the symphony, you just might be given a bouquet of flowers by the symphony conductor. My friend did. The food is amazing. I love both the beef & salmon carpaccio and the fish dishes are perfection. Pesce a... More

We went with a group of friends and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We started with a shared ceasar salad, whole leaf romaine lettuce, small leaves and quite fresh, excellent dressing with a solid anchovi taste, fresh parm over all, extremely good.We then both had the fettuchini alfredo, nice cream sauce, weel prepared. All in all,... More

We can’t believe the previous reviews. We shared a pepperoni pizza and a penne carbonara. The pizza base was like really thick cardboard and the pepperoni was more like a thickly cut sausage. The pasta was swimming in oil. It was edible but it wasn’t enjoyable and it was definitely the worst Italian food we’ve ever had.

We tried twice to find this restaurant on 57 and finally realized the "A" refers to a pedestrian plaza between 57 and 59. Lovely quiet location. Nice change of pace from yucatecan food. Very flavorful. Good seafood.

Simplicity as far as decor; a short menu with the classical choices of Italian cuisine but very tasty and refined dishes. Service polite and smilly, and owners, see that you are satisfied. GO there without any hesitation

Hands down the best, most reasonably priced food experience in centro. The food is delicious, the service personable, and the atmosphere welcoming. I only wish more people would know about this place so that they could justify being open all of the time. Try the pescados or pastas; you won't be disappointed. Also, the coffee, fresh from Veracruz, is wonderful.... More
