Incredible food. We had the shrimp, steak and venison - they were all good. Service was on the slow side so it may not be suitable if you have limited time. The drinks were great too.

We walked up to Restaurante Cubaro a block from the Fiesta Americana and across the traffic circle from Kuuk, on a beautiful night in January, a walk that might not be so pleasant in August. It was a "First Saturday", a once-a-month night when the traffic circle and half the Paseo Montejo is restricted to strollers and cyclists, so Cubaro... More

Had a quick lunch stop here on my way back from the central zocalo. Ordered white wine and a pibil. The wine was unlike any I have had before. Not a typical chard or sav blanc. Golden in color but not skunked. Pibil was OK but nothing to write home about.

The staff are very helpful! The menu has many options, and the portions are quite generous. Great wine, delicious food. Definitely my first choice of restaurant in the area!

The location is unbeatable, food & Drinks are spectacular! Excellent service, very friendly staff. Picture yourself having a cocktail in the deck, while enjoying a delicious dish, a DJ creates the perfect atmosphere with lounge music, watching one of the best views in town. I highly recommend it.

It's all about location here. This restaurant is situated at a main street intersection with views of monument honoring the mayan culture (go at night). Service and food is a scooch above average with prices mid-range.

After the last time we went and were cheated by the waiter out of 500 pesos (though the food was wonderful), we didn't go there for two years. Nothing much has changed: we were charged for drinks that were almost twice the price of those we had ordered, and every single dish arrived cold or luke warm at best. The... More

Didn't think we would have the pleasure of having venison. What a surprise it was to find it on the menu, and to hear that it is local - from the Yucatan. Not wild, that can't be served in restaurants, but from a deer farm. The preparation was superb! If you like venison, this is the place for it. It... More

If you are looking for a great atmosphere and quality food, I recommend Cúbaro. Take time to enjoy the view (Mérida flag monument is located across the street) and the tropical feel of the rooftop bar. The mojitos are great, and I enjoyed the flavors of the cowboy steak and seared tuna. The lime soup will compliment any meal, and... More
