Stopped at casa banana for lunch based on the wood fired oven we spotted driving down the Boca paila. Hoping for some good wood fired pizza. The decor is really neet with antiques and a nice jungle setting. The drinks were very good. The food left a lot to be desired. We ordered the guacamole which was good although I... More

Casa Banana in the evening is lively and welcoming, We were staying right down the beach road at Playa Mambo and it was great to be able to walk to dinner. The service was wonderful and the food excellent. My husband and I were traveling with our teenage sons. I had a lovely special cocktail and my son had the... More

We much preferred Arca and the prices were not much more for a better experience. We were seated immediately and the ambiance is nice, but the food was ok and didn't really make me want to go back. 6/10 would go again.

We really enjoyed or meals. Steaks cooked on wood fired grills to perfection. We Finished our meal with a delicious mango cheesecake. There was no electricity so lighting was candles and lanterns and that gave it a perfect ambiance. Getting back to town was no problem as picked up a taxi outside the restaurant straight away.

My wife and I just had a nice dinner with good and friendly service. When I added up the check the total was incorrect. When I pointed this out to our waiter he said, "Oh, I think she added in a tip." There was no mention or notation of a tip. If I had not asked I would have left... More

Stayed across the road and enjoyed breakfast here a couple of mornings. Very good and efficient. The marmalade is to die for and the warm homemade bread. Nice employees, who will bring drinks to you on the beach if staying at NVR. All the rest was good too, but that Marmalade oh La la

Staying at the Nueva Vida eco-lodge, we ate here several times. Each time food was acceptable but the service was indifferent. Takes a long time to get waited on, even if you're the only person there, and coffee refills have to be hunted down. This place has a nice vibe for dinner, but with so many other options in the... I went there to celebrate my birthday with my boyfriend. We got there close to eleven pm. They told us the would only have half of the dishes on the menu available because the grill was off already. It was disappointing because was the less thing I was expecting for my b-day and I had such good expectations for this... More

This past week we visited the Tulum area. A short walk from our hotel we found the Casa Banana restaurant. Like most of the restaurants along this road , it has a relaxed outdoor setting. We visited for lunch. During a late evening walk we discovered the Casa Banana is popular location that had attracted a large noisy crowd that... More

Description
Located across the beach road from Nueva Vida is Casa Banana Steakhouse, a Tulum dining hot spot. Serving up classic Argentinian style cuisine, the food here is simple, fresh and delicious. For breakfast each morning enjoy made to order coffee, homemade banana bread, and pineapple coconut jam. At night the restraurant gets busy and comes alive with it’s outdoor grill, known as “parilla,” and dishes are cooked over the open fire for all to see. The menu favorites include grilled to perfection steak, fresh caught fish, impressive salads, and a thoughtfully selected wine list. Don’t forget to try the handshaken icy margaritas, too.Open daily breakfast, lunch and dinner. We provide beach service for all guests of the hotel.
