The food was excellent and the portions extremely generous. I would highly recommend the fish ceviche!

It's really nice place to eat, every time we pass near Tulum we go to eat here. Fresh fish, with garlis, one of the most fresh fish you can eat in restaurants. You can go in the kitchen to choose one, they serve thousands of fishes every day. Complete fish is really fresh, filets too, i just notice for the... More

After eating here multiple times because of the fried fish, I would not recommend it for people who do not eat fish. I was told (by those eating it) that the fried fish and ceviche was amazing. I however only ate the chicken dish, which was comparable to cafeteria food. This place only has a few options for those who... More

We had our best meal in Mexico at EL Camello. Mostly fish, deliciously prepared and inexpensive. A nice change from the Riviera Tulum where every place is overpriced and not that great (London prices, actually, in some cases higher). EL Camello is also very authentic, with live music and Mexican patrons singing along, a huge treat to witness! Highly recommended!

I have eaten here many times. The food has always been consistently very good. Prices are very reasonable. Service is good and fast. There is usually a line up in the evenings. That, in itself, says something positive. One of my favourites is the shrimp ceviche.

Our family of 4 dined here and were pleased at how many locals were there dining. Everything was delicious. My kids split a medium octopus ceviche (huge), my husband had the whole fried fish (I want to go back to have that myself) and I had the shrimp kabobs (delicious). The meals were served with delicious veggies, beans and rice.... More

El Camello - the Camel - is an odd name for the best mariscos and seafood place in Tulum but don't let the name stop you. Super casual place at the far end of town but worth finding. Tables spill out of restaurant onto porch - get your fill of guacamole, ceviches, and cocteles with your favorite fish & shellfish.... More

El Camello is a must visit if you're in Tulum. The food was fantastic and our service was great. You can tell the locals know and love this place and I can see why. I'd highly recommend the ceviche as it is incredible. Also, I was pleasantly surprised when we ordered the fried fish and they actually brought us out... More

this place is packed with locals and tourists. people were waiting outside for a table to open and it was super busy. i ordered the seafood soup to go. i must say that i am not a soup person, but was nursing unfortunate illness and could only have light fare such as soup and it was excellent. i will come...
