Funky bar, HUGE fireplace with an even bigger moose head above it, friendly bartender and good food. Cilantro aioli near the Appalachian Trail and 70 miles from the Canadian border was a surprise, as was a burger actually cooked medium-rare vs. cooked to death. Fresh, crisp salads as well. I recommend it!

Hanging out at the River Brewpub after a day on River is a great way to end your day. Big leather couches to sink in while enjoying some of the local brews was my favorite!, Play a game of pool and enjoy the log lodge environment. The food was enjoyable and filling as well! We've already booked for next year!

I love this place. The downfall was the food making us all feel ill. We all woke up in the middle of the night with the feeling of our hearts racing and restlessness. Some members had to visit the restroom and this was the only meal we all shared together that day. The next day we went back for beer... More

We only ate breakfast the morning of our rafting, and it was so delicious! They open at 7am and make sure you are done by the time you need to be (but show up at 7). I would highly recommend doing their breakfast before you raft. They also have beer and wine which is nice post rafting and/or hanging out... More

Food is perfectly adequate as is the service. Designed mainly for guests of Northern Outdoors Adventures. Interesting old photography with captions decorating the walls. The Micro brews can be sampled and they are well worth it!

We had dinner here Friday night after driving all day and relaxing in the pool. The service was great. Our waitress stayed onto of our refills for adults and kids. there were 5 adults and 3 kids 4 and under. We all ordered apps and they awesome. The dinners were great, from hamburgs to the fish and chips. The kids... More

Stopped for lunch on the way to Quebec. Great building and atmosphere. 4 burgers and 2 beverages per person. Burgers were crazy good, maybe the best I have ever had. Beer was brewed there and excellent. Since I was riding and not parking for gas I offered to pick up the check, with tip $180 for lunch. A bit expensive,... More

Our first drive through the Maine wilderness and no evidence of food, when around the corner this brewery appeared. We had s couple of excellent expensive sandwiches and a sampler of their brew. All were good buy expensive. Still worth the price.

Went to dinner on a recent Sunday with 8 friends. We were tired and hungry and were glad to see it wasn't busy. We were promptly seated and got our drinks. We ordered apps and dinner mostly sandwiches. We got our apps timely and then nothing. We waited over an hour for our dinner and our server disappeared, most likely embarrassed... More

The Kennebec River Pub & Brewery is our full-service restaurant at The Forks Resort Center. The pub shares space in our grand, open-timbered main lodge with our Kennebec River Brewery, home to several fine handcrafted ales and lagers. The brewery is also on the Maine Beer Trail. We utilize fresh, local foods to the fullest in our hearty breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes. We serve delightful pub fare with a mouthwatering selection of jumbo burgers, our famous beer battered onion rings, and Northern Nacho's - a heaping stack of tortilla chips with a melted blend of Monterey Jack & Cheddar cheeses, jalapenos, black olives, onions & tomatoes. And nothing compliments pub fare any better than a fresh, handcrafted beer from our Kennebec River Brewery!
