Came here for lunch with our toddler. Lovely setting and we thought we had found a fab little cafe. Unfortunately we were very wrong. We ordered to paininis which were nice enough but a bit small and a cheese sandwich for the toddler. The sandwich...was made with a crust of bread which apart being laughable would have been extremely difficult for a toddler to chew through. I sent this back and the next sandwich that came was warm. They had clearly defrosted the bread in a microwave and the cheese was semi melted on it. It was appalling. When I sent this back i told them it was warm and that we had now been waiting 40 minutes for 2 panini's and a sandwich. I was told by the waitress that they were very busy as 2 members of staff had called in sick and they had served 80 people today. I'm the paying customer. I couldn't care less what your staffing situation is. My priority was getting my hungry child fed and it's not easy entertaining a toddler for that long in that situation. Not got enough staff then inform people there will be a wait or don't be greedy and stop doing take out so the staff can keep up. Pretty sure we were over charged as well but by this time my toddler was long overdue her nap so I just paid and left.More

Feeling slightly hungover (after attending a wedding the night before) we headed over to Potters Barn for breakfast. The walk through Ribchester was stunning and everyone we passed seem to be so friendly and happy! On arrival the signage is excellent there are different entrances...for take out / eat in we headed straight to the outdoor seating area with no confusion. Cute, quirky seating area which lovely details. A random periodic table table cover 😍. The service was extremely friendly and welcoming and automatically we knew we'd found somewhere we would love.....and we were right. Reasonably priced quality food (using local produce) which was also delicious. The waitress encouraged us to go for whatever we wanted so I had a goats cheese salad for breakfast 😁😁. Yum Yum! My husband had the predictable full English, the food was scoffed within minutes. 😋. Loved the setting, location, decor, service, food everything!! They have managed to get everything right at this cafe and we cannot wait to return. 5 stars doesn't seem enough. Plus there's a gift shop that's definitely worth visiting if you don't fancy eating. I highly recommend this place 😍🤩More

My friend and I paid a visit to this beautiful cafe on our way to the Roman museum and we both fell in love with it from the beautiful garden lovely staff with service with a smile and the beautiful home cooked menu with unusual...choices and a cake menu that was out of this world. There was a wait for the food but that is only to be expected with freshly prepared dishes. The bread was home made. I was also asked did I want not milk with my coffee. I cannot wait to visit again.More

We called into Potters Barn on Sunday morning for a bacon sandwich each. We did not have a choice of bread - only brown was available, we were over charged and had to query the price ( which was expensive whether you were eating in...or out - £4.50 and £3.50 respectively! and the sandwiches took ages to arrive. Once we started eating, the bacon was stringy and fatty and the tomato and brown sauces were the cheapest ones you could buy. Horrible flavours. All in all, the bacon sandwich we've ever had. How can they get it so wrong! Never again!More

Nice place tucked away close to main car park in small town. Seating outside in garden as well as inside. Food very good - one minor gripe my partner had a sandwich roll which was a little dry but otherwise great menu. Very busy on...our visit but all staff very welcoming. You can also have takeaway food/drink from a hatch and Ice Creams!!More

Visited today to have an afternoon coffee. We were seated, had covid details taken and left with menu. After some time another couple came to a nearby table. They had their order taken immediately and drinks delivered. As we were still ignored we left. Therefore...cannot make any comment about the food.More
