Wonderful! The drinks, the food and the service - all were absolutely excellent. I honestly can’t pick fault. The barman deserves special mention and his recommendation of a milk vodka hit the spot. Seafood pancake, leek and potato soup and lamb shanks were all devoured....We aren’t local but I’m sure we will make an effort to return.More

Popped in for a pint after a walk in the area. Ended up staying for 3 hours. This was due to the warm welcome and amazing hospitality by the dreadlocked barman. What an asset he was to this delightful pub. Cracking beer and lovely steak...and ale pie, and cheese and onion pie. All the staff were fabulous and that’s the main thing when running a pub. We’ll be back.More

Visited here last min on new years eve with our grown up daughter. Staff were extremely friendly & accommodating. We had lots of nye novelties on our table to keep us occupied. The food was tasty & well presented & didnt have to wait too...long either, the only complaint I have is the samphire on my halibut was rather difficult to eat as was rather like cardboard! The potato & fish were lovely tho. So for 4 starters, 2 mains 2 vokes & 4 vinos the bill was a nice surprise at £120 too. Thank you allMore

We visited here from Essex as we stayed in the local cottages for Christmas. The cocktails here are amazing! As is the food. Would definitely recommend! All staff were friendly and helpful

Food is gradually becoming Christmas hoardings at home, so back to the Bull for dinner. We both had the Haddock and Chips this time. Just superb. Accompanied by a very good white that just begs repeats. The fish, fresh as you like with a lovely...batter, nicely cooked chips and home made tartare sauce. The staff couldn't be more accommodating and helpful. Highly recommended. Well worth a diversion to find.More

We received a really warm welcome last night when we ate here for our evening meal. The menu is varied with the option of the Christmas menu alongside the usual a la carte. Food was tasty snd service was good. We would happily return again

We visited here for the first time on the back of one or two glowing reports. It was Saturday evening and as we had a party of 11 we were asked to pre order from the excellent choices across two menus. Our table was all...set out for us on arrival so after a drink at the bar we sat down to enjoy our evening. A smallish intimate dining room with a lovely warm country pub feel. As we had preordered this cut down all the time normally taken to order etc. Wine, a nice Pinot Grigio and a red Tempranillo both at very decent prices, were ordered, and all our food was exceptional, too many different options to state here but rest assured whatever we had ordered was top quality and all hot despite our large table. All the staff here are so friendly and on top of their game. Chris is the general manger behind the bar, and Will is his head waiter, what friendly and knowledgable chaps but all the staff are a credit to the establishment. It must be 20 years since I have been in the White Bull in Ribchester but it is now firmly on my list of go to restaurants in the Ribble Valley of which there are many, this place will now take some beating. I would highly recommend this lovely place do not hesitate if you are looking for a homely pub type restaurant with top quality food and exceptional friendly service.More

Me and my friends were staying locally on a girls trip and had booked the white bull. They were friendly on email helping us pre order our food due to the size of our group. On the day some of the girls wanted to add...a few starters, this was no problem for them. The staff here are so friendly, attentive and fun. The food was perfect, all 10 of us really enjoyed our meal. We are hoping to stay in ribchester again next year and will definitely be returning to the white bull. Thanks to all the team 😊More

We called in for lunch at the White Bull having been to the local museum. We were so glad we did. We were greeted by Chris as we entered and the visit just got better and better. The staff were all very friendly and helpful...and the barman (sorry, didn’t catch your name) was keen to give us a taste of the various draught beers available which was much appreciated. Really enjoyed the 61 Deep, which tastes even better on draught. The food was amazing and my daughter was thrilled to find that there was a large gluten free menu available (shame The Ivy, Asia don’t follow in your footsteps). The selection was superb and generous portions. We all had a fantastic meal and really chilled out next to the log fire which made it very difficult to leave. If we are ever back near Ribchester we will make a point of returning to the White Bull. Thanks to everyone for making our visit so enjoyable.More

Called in for lunch a wet Saturday and we’re warmly welcomed. What an amazing friendly team. A really cosy pub, with a welcoming atmosphere. Local beers on tap great selection of spirits, the staff know what they are talking about. The food is local sourced...and caters for every taste and the portions are good too. You won’t leave hungry. As we were staying in Ribchester we came back for Sunday lunch and we’re not disappointed either. What a fabulous pub.More
