I have been a little disappointed at the sushi recently, but the grilled fish, chicken and fish is worth the drive which is only twenty minutes for me. SMA residents don't like to drive. Go on a sunny warm day and dine outside.
The setting of Nirvana was absolutely heavenly. The restaurant is situated overlooking a stream, with tables both indoors and out. The food was spectacular and abundant. The wait staff attentive but unobtrusive. It was a most relaxing lunch and I think we all would have loved to stay for a week. This is a place where you can truly unplug... More
We were there to celebrate my husband birthday, and we opt for Romantic package. They were so flexibles and help me to have a little surprise party for my husband and some friends. Food and service were excellent, and we both got a massage (great Spa) We would love to get back soon.
We went here recently and enjoyed the setting. It's in an out of the way location to say the least and we enjoyed getting out of town, sitting outside and looking around at the landscape. The place settings are different, the menu is enticing and service is friendly. So far, so good. But the friendly service is slow and got... More
This is a gem tucked away in the middle of nowhere. The service was excellent and the food was wonderful. I would highly recommend the shrimp and risotto dish.

BUT then you come into the Nirvana area and it's simply beautiful. Outdoor and indoor seating is available. We sat outside with our feet in the grass. The view is terrific, service... More
I have always loved this place and we've gone there often. The setting is fabulous the service is good, but I went there to celebrate my husband's birthday on an August afternoon and had the salmon and got food poisoning. It had to be the salmon because I hadn't eaten anything earlier and by 8pm was vomiting. It was terrible... More
Let's start with the positive aspects. The venue is absolutely stunning. This is the sort of place you want to shoot a movie. Just beautiful, relaxing, and majestic. Wow! If only they could get the food right, it would be a true winner. But all 3 of us were horrified by the pathetic attempt at gourmet cuisine. I had the... More
Worst food in recent memory. Poor service. Beautiful location. This is the second time I have visited and once again the experience was disappointing. When Nirvana restaurant was in San Miguel, it was one of our favorite places to eat. I would suggest that the menu be focused on fewer dishes With better quality and preparation. 3 of the 4... More
