Our visit was a little early in the evening to really get a good feel for what it might be like when it's in full swing, so the atmosphere was a little 'rarified', but we still enjoyed our meals. The service was prompt and attentive and the food was very well put-together and flavorful. We got a little hit of... More

We greatly enjoyed our evening at Don Sanchez, one of the best restaurants in San Jose del Cabo. It's a lovely setting, a quiet courtyard well removed from the sounds of the nearby downtown area. The food was amazing (we both had red snapper which was very nicely prepared), and the service was outstanding for two of us even tough... More

We went on a Sat. evening. The restaurant is nicely decorated. Food is delicious - though not much traditional Mexican selection (no chips & salsa). Service is wonderful. We had a great dinner celebrating our anniversary.

We had one of the best meals yet in Cabo. The restaurant has changed over the years and now has a brilliant menu. 3 different menus which are sourced from different communities. Staff are charming and very knowledgable. Some of the dishes are very adventurous and worth a try. The desserts looked wonderful, but after 2 courses we were too... More

We haven't been to Don Sanchez for a few years as our last experience there was very mediocre. What a surprise we had when we returned. It is definitely on the scale of fine dining. The receptionists who greeted us were just delightful and fun. Our waiter, Arturo and his team were superb, their training excellent, extremely attentive. Our food... More

We asked for guacamole and chips and the waiter explained that they were very "upscale" and didn't serve such fare??? They have avocados, and they have tortillas...and we're the customers, we are paying for the food, so what's the hang up? I have always found that the great restaurants will do whatever it takes to satisfy the customer. Oh well,... More

Food was great. My husband and I had the snapper special on a quinoa base. Our daughter had a vegetarian special. We shared a unique caprese salad ( a number of different tomatoes on a cheese base). Besides these excellent dishes the chef provided appetizers - an oriental style tuna tartar - and a vegetarian special for our daughter. There... More

My wife and I and two friends enjoyed a birthday dinner at Don San Chez last Thursday. The atmosphere is amazing. The service was very attentive from the greeting by the hostess and manager to the servers throughout the meal. The presentation of each dish was beautiful - from the Grilled Ceser Salad and the Belly and Suckers appetizers to... More

We always like to have at least one romantic dinner here when we are in Los Cabos. This time as usual did not disappoint. The food was fantastic, atmosphere wonderful and the Service Perfect. We could not have asked for more.

Description
Over the last year, Don Sanchez Restaurant has “re-defined” itself both in design as well our approach to your fine food and wine experience. Our food, service and quality are consistent with the same standards found in North America as we strive to constantly improve and innovate.Proudly, the majority of our high-quality produce is grown and harvested from local organic farms. Our seafood comes from local fisherman ensuring the best, freshest quality. Fresh oysters and clams are delivered 3 times a week and our fish daily. All of our produce and seafood are environmentally sustainable and checked regularly for consistency. One of our standards is to only serve “grass-fed” beef from Sonora or American choice beef, which is aged to perfection, and consistent with the same processing standards found in the U.S.A. All salt used in Don Sanchez Restaurant is natural un-iodized Sea salt from Guerrero Negro in the Northern Baja Peninsula.
