Had fish and chips which was huge and very good food. This would have scored a five star rating but we were he only people in the restaurant and nobody came and checked on us or even collected our plates, or offered desert. Bizarre. We ordered two more drinks and just sat there with the empty plates around us and... More

My husband and I have just returned from a two night stay at the Victory and could not recommend it enough. We had a large, comfortable room, pleasantly decorated with a jacuzzi bath in the big en-suite bathroom. Peter and Jill were very accomodating, the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food was just great! Its a... More

This was our 2nd visit having stayed last year too. The rooms are lovely, comfortable and clean with crisp white bedding. We had room 3 which we can recommend with the balcony & views. Little extras like binoculars and plenty of tea and coffee, including a small fridge on the landing with fresh milk to use. All the staff are... More

We went for dinner here today with a party of 5 in total. Was slow being seated even though there were plenty of staff milling around behind the bar. Once sat it became a matter of concern that the table was sticky, as a result it just didn't feel clean. We did query it with a waitress who told us... More

We stopped off at the Victory for a drink and a bite to eat mid a dog walk, as we had a dog we were limited to outside but luckily it was a sunny warm February afternoon and the garden was packed. The food was well priced and the portions were very generous, I was very impressed with the quality... More

This used to be a really good pub, sadly only the service is good with friendly staff. The food is poor quality and really not worth trying. We had four meals and all were with cheap and cheerful ingredients. We've used this pub on loads of occasions but sadly this will be the last.

We have just come back from another nice stay at this hotel. We had room No. 1 which was lovely and had gorgeous views over the harbour. The only complaint we had was with my husband's food on the first night. He ordered fish and chips and the batter was burnt. We did mention this to a member of staff... More

We had a groupon voucher for Dinner Bed and Breakfast for the victory, we arrived and got checked in and taken straight to our room, really helpful staff, the room was small but had most things you needed, comfy bed, lovely bathroom and a balcony with sea views! We has 1 main course included in the voucher but we upgraded... More
