We love this cafe for a leisurely brunch. Also good for breakfast & dinner. Just love Sunday brunch which can be accompanied by a beer or a wine. Not too badly priced. Great for everyone

We decided to have lunch here when we visited Straddle yesterday. We had Fish and Chips. The fish was well cooked and the chips nice and crispy.I would have liked a small side salad with it to leave a fresh taste in my mouth. The Beers were nice and cold, but a little exy.The waitress was very pleasant.I.would go there again.

I ordered a seafood basket - which included grilled snapper, fried scallops, fried prawns and fried calamari, my partner had the works burger. My calamari and scallops came out borderline burnt to the point where is looked like a turd. I had to ask for them to be replaced which the guy did very quickly to his credit as I... More

Easter Sunday - four adults and two cildren went here for dinner. Fish n chips for five with seafood chowder for one. Very expensive plus 10% for public holiday surcharge for overcooked not fresh meals. We will not return.

Service was slow, but understand given it was Easter. When food arrived it was wrong. When we raised to the waiter she said that was what was on the docket which you don't get when you pay for it. First mouthful of the fish and it tasted like it came out of the tin. Overcooked and certainly not fresh. Went... More

Originally I was eating at the blue room, which is more organic, however no free wifi and when I did manage to connect on letting them know, this was then disconnected. So I went to the Fishes Cafe and without ordering anything originally was allowed to use their Wifi without being hassled or any questions being asked, which was a... More

I had the fishermans basket, my sons had 5yr- kids hamburger and 9yr- stuffed chicken with subdried tomato and a trio of cheeses with potato bake and asian green salad. All food was amazing, I know I tried them all. The whiting I had battered was soft, the calamari was a bit over cooked but the scallops were hevenly! The... More

The food here is pretty good but not amazing. Standard fish, chips, burgers etc. The coffee is good but the wait times are often long.

A good place to eat. The food was tasty, and the location is great. It's in a great location the staff are friendly. It's not trying to be anything it's not. It's a nice cafe, with good prices and good food.

Thank Stephen H

Indulge in the whale rock big brekkie and a side of the island's best coffee. For lunch or dinner dine alfresco with a beer on tap or grab takeaway fish 'n' chips and head to Frenchman's Beach.
