This pleasant restaurant is in the centre of the action in Barra, partway down Avenue Legazpi toward the Malecon. It is great for breakfast and also lunch and dinner. Very reasonably priced.

Great breakfast. Outside on the street can be a problem with bees. Popular so finding a table can be a challenge at times. They also serve dinner, but I haven't tried that. I assume they keep the same high standards.

We enjoyed delicious pancakes, coffee, hash browns and eggs mexicana. They make everything the way you like it and with excellent service. It's not on the water but right on the little street where you can see the going on of the town.

I visit every year at least once. I miss the old staff, but the new guys are still good. The food is fantastic, and have never had a complaint. Prices is great, fresh coffee and wonderful setting.

Located on a busy ( for barra ) corner, you can people watch here. We ate here 3 times in short order, got a bit hooked on the arranchera burrito and guaco. Order the guaco with chilies, it adds a nice touch. All our food was good and Lalo is a great waiter. My wife had the ribs one evening,... More

I've had multiple meals here and recommend it highly. Really like the Ceasar salad with chicken. Lalo is a very good waiter and the prices are wonderful. Go there.

We stopped by for a dinner just after sunset across the street. The place was rather quiet, with only two other tables occupied during our dinner. The waiter was friendly and accommodated our particular request, such as serving a glass of ice with a beer. Casa de Mi Abuela makes visitors from North America at home by offering internet and... Great place to have a breakfast, be int Mexican Huevos Rancheros, or American style pancakes. The service if fast, coffee is fine, English is spoken.

My wife and I have been by many times and always noticed this restaurant to be full. We saw the hamburgers and French fries and thought we would split an order since we like to eat light. Upon arriving there was only one table left and the waiter said to us that they still had a couple of prime rib... More

Always excellent in food and service. Always has extras, Ask for the little cookies with your coffee, they are free. It's by far my favourite in Barra and everyone who goes there loves it. We had take out from there too and it was cheap and great!! Get the chicken.
