The only place in the 'village' when you can get an evening meal so not much choice. The pub is nice and oldfashioned (what you would expect) and the contrast with the restaurant could not be greater. Modern and functional, no atmosphere. Food was ok...More

Bjornar, I'm really sorry you weren't able to eat at The Tinners on your recent visit. It must have been really disappointing - especially given you had walked such a distance beforehand. Unfortunately, as with lots of pubs and restaurants at this time of year,...More

Good old English pub serving great food and good selection of real ales. Service very quick and the fish and chips are superb (tartare sauce is excellent).

Called in today for lunch before walking from Zennor to Gurnard's Head. Caught the bus from St Ives and arrived just in time for lunch. I had the cheese ploughman's and hubby had a ham ploughman's. Both were delicious and good value for money. Good...More

I found The Tinners Arms on TripAdvisor and glad I did, as you could easily drive by Zennor, on your way to somewhere. A lovely old pub with very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. We ate in the pub Bar area, which is warm and...More

We booked a table but arrived to find we'd been relegated from the lovely bar area to the no style or elegance whatsoever 'kindergarten' canteen lunch area ... pine table .. needs a complete refurbish .. probably our fault. So we moved outside and suffered...More

This is a lovely old pub set in a beautiful village. My daughter and I were actually visiting the craft fair near the pub and because she had eaten at The Tinners Arms before and enjoyed the meal, we decided to have lunch there. My...More

We were really looking forward to trying out this pub, the reviews were good and the location is stunning. We can't fault the bar area, authentic, traditional, unspoilt by modern fads however this is not reflected in the dining area. Feels completely detached from the...More

Built in 1271, The Tinners Arms has been at the heart of village life in Zennor for over 700 years. Originally built to accommodate the masons who constructed St Senara’s Church, famous for its mermaid, you’ll find little has changed over the years.

Modern life slips away as you step inside.

Join a friendly mix of regulars, visitors, families and walkers (often with a well-natured dog or two in tow) in the cosy bar or the light and airy dining room. Or spill out into the sunny garden with views to the rugged Atlantic coastline. Stay on and settle in by the roaring fire for a legendary Tinners Thursday Folk Night session.

“At Zennor one sees infinite Atlantic, all peacock-mingled colours, and the gorse is sunshine itself. Zennor is a most beautiful place: a tiny granite village nestling under high shaggy moor-hills and a big sweep of lovely sea beyond, such a lovely sea, lovelier even than the Mediterranean… It is the best place I have been in, I think” – D. H. Lawrence, 1916.
