This place is considered to be one of the more expensive restaurants in Durango. We order two meals and a couple beers and I think the tab was $40 US dollars. I thought it was reasonable and it has a very interesting candle display that they keep lighting and have been lighting for 20 years and there's interesting melted candles... More

We visited this restaurant on Trip Advisors review. Stood inside the restaurant for a few minutes and saw very few eating. There was someone ahead of us waiting. No host. A waiter acknowledged us. More people arrived and we stood there. Also the restaurant was very dark; hard for me to see. We gave up and left. As we stood... More

The place is beautiful, the service is very good ,the food is awesomly delicious & the owner is a delightful nice person. I personally love "chonitas" & "tostadas" especially of beef ;there are options for vegetarians: mushrooms,pepper... if it's your first time you could have a plate of mixed combination. I didn't like mexican food in general but definitly this... More

My wife and a couple of friends recently helped me celebrate my birthday at this wonderful restaurant, Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner who showed us to our table and introduced us to the menu of traditional Mexican dishes. He spoke fairly good English and did an admirable job of explaining the various styles of Mexican cooking available.... More

This restaurant has a very high rating???? On a Thursday evening at about 7:30PM we went to dinner here. We tried two different taxis. Neither one knew where the restaurant was. We finally asked a policeman where it is. Even though it was only four blocks away he had a difficult time giving us directions but they were OK. The... More

You can walk from the Cathedral to the Fonda, while enjoying all the beautiful Colonial and 19th century buildings. And when you arrive, you see an old house very beautifully decorated. The menu is very complete and diverse. The best to order are Chiles en Nogada when available or the Chile en Rojo with cheese. Great experience !!

I highly recommend the beef empanadas and the pork tacos. The empanadas are like small gorditas -- they are the specialty of the place. Everything was done up nicely for the upcoming day of the dead. The desserts are excellent as well.

We were recommended this restaurant by every local we asked for advice, so our expectations were high. We arrived at night without a reservation and they kindly found us a table. We were a party of five. A waiter took our drinks order and left. Several minutes passed no waiter, and no drinks. We told a passing waiter that we... More

First, the location is amazing. A converted house in a wonderful neighborhood. The food was amazing. Each person in my party tried a different item. All looked wonderful and tasted great. Portions are on the smaller side and priced a bit high, but the quality and presentation cannot be beat. The service - staffed with young attractive men who have... More
