Popped in here for a light bite while in Alresford via the Watercress Line. Basic cafe/kitchen feel with a limited menu. What sold it for us was the bacon brie & cranberry paninis, which were the best we've had anywhere, & the staff who were polite. There is a small courtyard, which being February we didn't use but which would... More

Everything is home made and you can tell. The Watercress soup was fabulous and the cheese and watercress scones were large but light and full of flavour with plenty of butter. Loose leaf tea as well. Owner needs to change the name changes on this site as they will get missed but its so good perhaps best being kept a... More

Whilst in the town of Alresford.I had been searching for the Courtyard Tea Rooms for a while. This establishment is now called .THE WATERCRESS TEA ROOMS. But once I located the property I enjoyed a lovely Bacon Sandwich and a hot Cappachino.Highly Recommend, quite small seating area downstairs ,but more seating upstairs.

I went here with my wife and daughter for lunch today. It is the first time we have been here with the current menu. My wife had tea and a scone which she said was lovely and still warm. There is a ploughmans sharing platter on the menu but I asked if I could have it for one and it... More

Savoury scones of cheese and watercress with chutney, cheese and a cup of tea, for 2, £9.00 - a bargain and delicious. Nice layout, welcoming staff and good selection of food. Bathroom could do with an update which is my reason for not giving top marks.

Popped in here today for lunch and very pleased that we found it. Had the shared ploughmans lunch and hot chocolate. Plenty of food for the two of us including huge baguette, 2 slices of ham, 2 huge wedges of very nice cheddar, 2 slices of pate, homemade scone, side salad and assorted pickles. Well worth a visit and as... More

Popped in with mum in law for lunch. Walked in, made eye contact with 4 staff doing nothing, sat down and waited in vain for something to happen. It was another customer that told us that menus were in front of the till. Went and picked up the children's menu by mistake, staff just watched, no one said anything the... More

Lovely location down a passageway leading to a sunny courtyard away from the traffic. Now called the Watercress Tea Rooms.

Loved our visit here- very clean and tidy, and amazing value for money! We bought three coffees, a slice of cake (which was very large!), and some flapjack- the total was around £11.50. The quality of the food and drink was lovely, and it was very warm inside, which was great as it was a cold day. Would defiantly return... More
