We usually go skiing once a year to Banff and Chaya is one of the restaurants that we always try to go. Decent, tasty authentic Japanese food. Good value for money considering that it is Banff. Small seating area, but if it is busy, the server will give you a paper slip to come back a certain time and they... More

The food is delicious and good value for money. Seating is quite limited and they do not take reservations via phone. Be prepared to wait for seating, otherwise you're better off getting takeaway. The staff are very friendly and food is served relatively quickly.

Three out of four times I go to Chaya there isn't any space for me to sit, sometimes I'll get takeout, but the space is so tiny you don't want to wait there. That said, the noodles are great and I go back as much as I can. The Tan Tan Noodles are a spicy favourite, and the kakiage udon... More

A really small restaurant, serving few kinds of traditional Japanese food, like udon ramen and curry, but taste so good. Worth waiting! Strongly recommend miso ramen, beef don and Katsu curry!

This place is one of the "locals" best kept secret. If you enjoy Asian soup with a great variety of noodles and some great flavor blend, this is the place to go... Espacially if you're been bar hopping the night before 😉 Service is quick and the prices are quite affordable. Fun place to go have lunch with a friend... More

I go there multiple times a month for their wonton ramen! I've heard other dished are good too - like Udon, and Japanese curry. The food is always fresh, and tasty!

Wow!!! The dish was perfect. The curry sauce was so delicious and had just the right amount of *heat* Beef, rice, and veggies were scrumptious with the curry sauce. And.... this was a take-out order, but the food was still hot. I will dine-in next time if I'm able to secure a table :) Thank you, Chaya!

Locals favorite, especially with the yoga community. They always know where the good eats are in town. I ordered udon with shrimp and vegetables tempura. Super slurpin' yummy! My friend had the rice bowl with same topping. Delicious. Small store front right next to McDonald's on Banff Avenue. Best noodle bowls in the Bow Valley!

We went to this restaurant the last time we were in Banff and decided to go again. The ramen soup was delish. The restaurant only fits 16 people so it's very tight. When we got there we were told that we would have to wait 20 minutes. The girl gave us a piece of paper that confirmed what time we... More
