Wow!!! The dish was perfect. The curry sauce was so delicious and had just the right amount of *heat* Beef, rice, and veggies were scrumptious with the curry sauce. And.... this was a take-out order, but the food was still hot. I will dine-in next time if I'm able to secure a table :) Thank you, Chaya!

Locals favorite, especially with the yoga community. They always know where the good eats are in town. I ordered udon with shrimp and vegetables tempura. Super slurpin' yummy! My friend had the rice bowl with same topping. Delicious. Small store front right next to McDonald's on Banff Avenue. Best noodle bowls in the Bow Valley!

We went to this restaurant the last time we were in Banff and decided to go again. The ramen soup was delish. The restaurant only fits 16 people so it's very tight. When we got there we were told that we would have to wait 20 minutes. The girl gave us a piece of paper that confirmed what time we... More

I had a really tasty noodle soup with a peanut broth. I didn't know that you had to go up to the counter when you're ready to order so I waited at my table forever. I have to say that the food is always good but the service wasn't very good or friendly.

Usually busy so there is often a wait for a table, but they've started taking names and will hold your table. The server told us 10 minutes, so we went away and came back in 10 minutes and our table was waiting for us. Wonderful udon soup. Does tempura differently than other Japanese restaurants and I really enjoyed it in... More

This place is a very busy place since there are about 15 seats. It is a long wait for seating. The best is " take out". We were glad we found this place for our daughter. It is a good ramen place for a town which has not many options for Asian food.

CHAYA is a hidden jewel in the beautiful town of Banff - a tiny Japanese noodle house with a humble entrance located right beside the big name franchise with the golden arches. The Japanese name "Chaya" means a "tea house", a cafe type of place where travelers could rest and enjoy a light meal. Chaya has no elegant Japanese decor... More

Small genuine japanese restaurant that had 30 minutes waiting list due to tiny size. Once seated, we ordered ramen noodles courses; appetizers were out of stock as business was non-stop. Great tasting & absolutely delicious, wouldve ordered bigger portions if I could
