Visited here twice and was not impressed at all. The food was Way overpriced for what we had, and the selection poor. Disappointed both times as I had high expectations judging by the reviews.

We thought this place was great. It was a bit more "high end" than we expected in terms of the other customers. Most people were dressed nicely. It was a casual atmosphere, but many of the men were in jackets and the women were in skirts or dresses. We didn't find it pretentious though. It's a well lit, bright room.... More

We were part of a large group celebrating a significant birthday. We were in a small room off to the side which was very nice -- it was bright and spacious and there was lots of room for the eight of us. As a larger group one is limited to the chef's menu rather than the usual al a carte... More

Went for a retirement luncheon. Not a place I would go on a regular basis but for a special occasion it was nice

A small but comfortable space where the staff makes you feel at home. French films screen black and white on the far wall within a simple elegant white frame. Quiche Lorraine. Niçoise salad. Gazpacho. All beautifully prepared, tasty and delicious. The hosts provide a perfect balance between feeling relaxed yet anticipating the next tasting of great food. Walk out through... More

I've been all over the world, and Cassis is my favorite restaurant I've ever visited. It's a perfect, small bistro with elegant interior and presentation. The food is wonderfully authentic. The first time I visited I thought, this is what I want the rest of the world to look and taste like.

Cassis bistro is a small place located in central Calgary. The menu was only 2 pages, but with good selections to suit all tastes. It has an impressive wine list; even the house wine was superb. All the food was very well prepared, delivered promptly and excellent. We will return again!

It does make me sad to give only average ratings for what I anticipated to be an amazing dinner featuring the French food that I love. Nothing was awful, but nothing was great. $30 for a beef stew that was at best average is not something that Calgarians will come back for. It was not "special"...neither the decor nor the... More

The food here is excellent; real French fare. The charcutterie plate was wonderful, and enough for two. The French onion soup was full of onions and a perfect amount of cheese. The restaurant is attached to a grocery store, and there is only a curtain separating the grocery store and the kitchen from the dining room, so there is quite... More
