We went to dining on Tuesday night. Salmon sashimi for $1/pc. This is worthy to go. Make me surprise is yellowtail quality is very good even it is $4/pc.

I enjoy going here for lunch on my days off. The lunchbox special is reasonable, the items varied and are always fantastic. I have yet to go for dinner, but can;t wait to grab a group and go. Lunch is easy alone.

It was our friends' birthday and there were the 4 of us out dining that evening. Ordered a bunch of stuff including pan fried/seared fish of some sort...and other items. The bill came to $250. My gf and I went to McDonalds after as we were still hungry... Thought this place was overprice!!

nice place, local hub in the middle of down town Calgary. The food was nice but definitely lacked luster. Service was very good, attentive and pleasant and the style and deco of the restaurant very neutral and pleasant as well. It did miss out on the wow factor but it is definitely a nice sushi place in central Calgary

I've always liked Sushi Kawa, both because of its large menu and its authentic food. This is one of the only places in Calgary where I can find authentic okinomiyaki! Like most Calgary-based sushi restaurants the fish is sliced a bit thick for my liking, but it's always fresh and delicious. The rolls are just the right proportion and the... More

This is my local hangout- the service is great, the sushi is really fresh and they have some special dishes like the garlic edamame which I haven't had anywhere else. The lunchtime menu has a selection of bento boxes which are great value, but if you pick something off the regular menu you can't go wrong! The ebi chilli mayo... More

You walk in here and see smiling faces and friendly greetings. The menu is great. For starters the miso soup always goes down well and the prawn Tempura is perfect. My wife and I usually go for some mixed sashimi and always love it. The Japanese chef clearly is very skilled. Better sashimi than much of what I had when... More

Really enjoyed it! The food was excellent. The owner really knows his stuff. They offers things you cannot find at a lot of other similar places.

This restaurant has improved much over the years. I'm a sashimi fan so my expectations from Sushi restaurants are pretty much limited to plain extremely fresh and properly prepared fish. The fish is properly proportioned and very fresh. I only wish that this restaurant had a better choice of sakis and wines. Also the restaurant needs a renovation. Time to... More

I went in rather late in the evening and was sat right away. Service was simple, unintrusive and quick. The food on the other hand was bland, was not impressed by the quality at all! One appetizer, entree and glass of wine came up to $38, with the lack of atmosphere and experience was just not worth it. With some... More
