I went a few times, the pain au chocolate, chocolate hazelnut crisp, and apple bun were all to die for. Fresh squeezed orange juice and hot chocolate were also delicious. They are closed Sundays so we bought some of their take-and-bake pain au chocolate and apple buns. They needed several hours to thaw and rise but boy were they worth... More

Purchased 6 macarons for my elderly mother....normally I find a good macaron to be soft to bite into....these were hard...I think maybe stale....I was not pleased with this purchase. Am planning on letting them know and getting my money back...all $14.07 worth.....well...went today to have a chat....there was no offer of a refund nor even an offer of replacing them....more... Best breads and pastries in town. Get there early as they sell out fast! We have been going here for many years and have never been disappointed. Croissants are flakey and delicious. Something for everyone in the bread department. Tortes are works of art. Try the lemon torte. You will not be disappointed.

So every Saturday my family and I have a coffee party - last Saturday my sister provided what we thought would be a special treat and stopped at the Manuel Latruwe Patisserie. She purchased several cinnamon buns/ danish and croissants. While standing in the very long line (understandable it is Saturday morning) she noted that all of the orders ahead... More

I went and had breakfast there. I heard it was great. (take away) the first time they forgot the bun. Next I walk away and open my container and they forgot the egg (hash browns, egg and bacon) They tell me its a 30 minute wait for my egg. I PAID FOR IT! I get my egg and hash brown... More

This is one of the handiest locations for a gourmet stop in downtown Calgary. Free parking, right on Macleod Trail. I've picked up a variety of baked goods over the years, but just needed a coffee and something today. My Americano was very good, not as deep and dark as I like, but fine. My croissant was great, quite large... More

We tried the Sourdough Baguette with Salami, Belgian Waffles, & Hot Chocolate. They were excellent. It was too bad that we didn't get to try the croissants and the prosciutto because they were all sold out. The hot chocolate is one of their specialties. We loved it.

Popped in early on Saturday to get some perfect plain croissants, a couple of baguettes and then got stuck choosing which bread to take. I really wanted the brioche loaf but my waistline decided on the whole grain. This is truly Belgium baking at its best. See if you can make it past the patisseries without ordering something. Visit here... More
