Just had dinner with friends at Alloy. Restaurant tucked out of the way, but worth finding. Tapenade starter was nice with drinks, would have appreciated more humus with four at the table. Appetizers we're very tasty. Beet salad was a hit. The gnocchi was delicious, but small. Crab appetizer very good. Entre size was better. Arctic Char was delicious, short... More

My wife and I went to this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Its a difficult place to find, not a lot of signage other than 1 small sign on the blvd. This restaurant is located in a light industrial area. Once inside the place its done up quite nice. Tables, booths, and outdoor patio. Service was super. Not rushed in... More

Had the best meal here ever last night. Every course was perfectly done and delicious, and that is quite rare - usually there is something you don't like out of 7 courses. Bravo!

It's rare that I get a chance to go back to a restaurant that I loved while travelling, as there are just too many choices. But go back to Alloy I did, as the last time I was there, I loved it. This time with a group of four, and it was just as good. I was going to rewrite... More

A cool Reno on a commercial building in a out of the way spot. Great food, diverse menu and excellent service. Try the truffle gnocchi as an appetizer. Really tasty.

This place is trying to be something better than what it is. The ambiance is faux trendy. The food was bland. The scallops were only seared on one side and tasteless. The risotto was tasteless. The short ribs were good. But maybe a 5 out of 10. The service overall was attentive but it took a long time to get... More

Ambiance is exactly the same--warm and delightful! Reception enthusiastic.. Took a long time for our pre-dinner cocktails. Cauliflower soup was nice and hot, small portion, and a bit tasteless. Albacore tuna was the special, and excellent. Chicken and the arctic char---very flavourful. Salads--very fresh! Wines were exquisite(one bottle corked), and We finished with ports. The outstanding weak-link was certainly our... More

Maybe it's the 1/2 price wine talking, but their 9th Anniversary dinner was the best meal we had here. Every course was great, well presented and of appropriate size. The pork belly was my particular favourite, but it was all superb.

As this was a pre-arranged menu, I cannot speak to the normal menu, but as a guest at a party of 50 or 60 people, I was very well-treated. The staff was all very efficient and worked their way around guests who were often in the pathways. The food was abundant and delicious from appetizers through soup, salad, entrée (for... More

We branched out from our more "typical" dishes and perhaps that was a mistake. I had the romaine with calamari salad, pork belly and gnocchi and while it was all good, I cannot say I was inspired by my meal. The better half had the three-course tasting menu, and while the fried halumi second was great, the Scottish trout main... More
